I got the same impression of Christianity after reading the Book of Revelation and trying to apply logic and reason to what sounded like a description of somebody's acid trip. Project Veritas and Christianity are the same that way, the only way you can take either seriously is to disable the common sense filter and logic processor in your brain and accept them through blind faith.

Revelations is basically an ancient political pamphlet disguised with religious symbolism, so yes it can seem very acid-trippy if you aren't familiar with the hot-button issues of ancient Roman politics.

I watched that debate and kept expecting Pence to just whip out his lightning fast lizard tongue and pull the fly into his mouth but he resisted that temptation admirably.

Actually, Andrew Yang was the candidate I would have preferred to see on the ticket.
But having said that, I'm still trying to figure out what the heck just happened, let alone what is happening. How is it possible for so many races to be so close, when the candidates are not close at all?

I might, but if so, then your framing is quite wrong. Not dissatisfaction, but overconfidence. What if Qanon told his followers to lie to pollsters? My websearches couldn't find any direct evidence of that specific instruction, though I got several reminders that half of Trump's fans believe in Qanon. Every successful lie to a pollster would be a double hit, one supporter apparently subtracted from Trump and one added to Biden. Indirect evidence would be correlating

Also, as part of the voting being a legal requirement, there is the whole requirement to actually register to vote (which happens in other countries that don't however require that you actually vote). That produces a list of voters, with addresses, that can be consulted. Or,

If you're a woman or a minority it matters more (this may seem leading, but it's independing of who you think is better for these groups).
The things that are important to you probably don't matter the government. But the policies affecting groups other that you vary quite differently if you are not.

Some Americans will think they won whenever this muddle is cleared up.
However I think the loser is clear, no matter what. My current pick for the most likely winner is China, though the situation isn't as clear as it was at the end of World War II. Personally I would prefer to see Europe step up as the world leader, but their house is more divided than America's and they don't even want the job. There are a couple of ambitious contenders, but none with the wherewithal. From China's long-term perspective, it's just back to world business as usual.

There are many decent Americans who would do as well or better than Trump. There are some who would do as well or better than Biden. Biden has had years of political experience and that can't be discounted. But even among politicians, there are many who have found a niche that they like, that they can continue in for a long time thanks to no term limits, and don't want the extra hassle of being president. Meh, Trump is already requesting a recount in Wisconsin (which is his right, but unlikely to change anything).
But in court you need to make an actual case and unsupported claims don't get you as far as they go in the news or press conferences. He could maybe do something about late-arriving mail-in votes in PA (and that's a maybe from what I gather), but beyond that it is not clear what to sue.

I have no idea why Trump is attacking the election when there is a very good chance he will win. It looks stupid and reactionary. He can bring out all the lawsuits he wants if he loses so he has gained nothing from this. Nope. In Wisconsin, there is no automatic recount - the "aggrieved candidate" always needs to request one. Also it has to be within .25% (Biden is ahead by roughly .75%), or else the requestor has to pay a "filing fee" - which covers the cost of the recount.
In Pennsylvania, the trigger for an automatic recount is 0.5%. Georgia is also 0.5%. In Arizona, it's 0.1%. In Michigan, it's 2000 votes.
Nevada also has no automatic recount, and requires the requestor to cover the cost.

There was no alternative. Nobody here has any power to get the Democrats or Republicans to choose any better candidates than Biden and Trump. And voting for anybody other than the two offerings from the Democrats and Republicans is useless, and counter-productive if you actually have feel one or the other is less bad for the country if they were president, as you will have removed your ability to at least influence the election of the one you dislike less.

The big question is, will Twitter block him as soon as the result is announced (unlikely), during the inauguration or shortly afterwards. All the other platforms could block him too in case he decides to use them. Then he can only go on platforms hosted by his "friends" who may be dropping him ASAP...

Oh, how I wish you were right. But seeing how Trump has something like 91% support in the party and has now received 67.5+ million votes, I don't think we can dismiss his supporters at all. He may continue running the Republican party regardless of election outcome.

Sadly, if no Trump repudiation came now (particularly given the covid handling), then it never will. I knew that many of his supporters don't care about his personality or have a problem with his policies, but I was so sure that the absolute mishandling of the pandemic will be the breaking point. That alone should have been enough to kick him out (particularly as the pandemic is not done yet and will kill many more), but 67.5+ million voters clearly disagree.

Yes, but that is literally impossible without control of the Senate and Democrats aren't getting that. Well, he can undo the executive orders stuff (which is something but not 98%).
What are the chances that if Republicans or the new Supreme Court actually get to push through some of their favorite policies -- will that finally create some voter backlash? I don't think half the country actually wants to see some of those things in action (e.g., repealing ACA or gay marriage).

The UK government overwhelmingly supported it, and it dramatically reduced the five great evils in UK at the time: "Want, Disease, Ignorance, Squalor and Idleness".
It cost a lot. Lots of that money comes from the taxpayer. But that tax is ring-fenced from the politicians: It's not a socialist state.
The vast majority of UK citizens pay nothing for their healthcare at the time of need (when they are most vulnerable).
UK citizens don't even know what health insurance is, and that means there's no middlemen making a profit from overcharging and underdelivering.
There's a weird myth that UK citizens cannot choose their doctor. Of course we can. And, while the healthcare provision in the UK is not the very best in the world, it is still one of the best in the world.
