Just fill out this form.
From TFS:
"This code triggered fake, alarming error messages to convince developers that DR DOS was unstable..."
Presumably this spooked developers who were looking at the code before it officially shipped. Once a developer is spooked, can he really be unspooked?
I recently bought a new Android phone after shattering the screen on my otherwise perfectly good five-year-old Android. Of course the UI had been totally screwed up, mostly differences for the sake of difference but some things were manifestly worse.
For example, I spent the longest time looking for an "auto-rotate" setting, which has always been a toggle switch labelled "auto-rotate." Eventually I resorted to using the search function in the settings, and still didn't find it. And then I had to resort to a web search (ridiculous for such a simple thing).
The setting was labelled "portrait" which is why it never registered with me, since I was looking for "auto-rotate." I know what "portrait" means but it never occurred to me that it would have anything to do with "auto-rotate." Press it to turn off portrait mode, and THEN it says "auto-rotate." Fucking hell. I would happily murder the person responsible for this.
Doesn't matter, he'll lose it to AI soon.
Tolkien was a devout Catholic, so it's not really surprising.
Musks wealth will certainly transfer to his kids (85 of them)
I assume that's a projected figure, but I suppose it could be that high already. Haven't really been paying attention.
I'm surprised to see both it and Visual Basic so high on the list.
What they call "Visual Basic" is VB.NET. "Classic Visual Basic" is #21.
some possible reasons:
- it's just bait to sell merchandise ( https://shop.x.com/collections... )
Also overpriced. Fifty bucks for a water bottle?
Also a great source of good quality used books, super cheap.
Seeing the name made me momentarily forget the name of the email client. Took me several seconds to be able to recall "Thunderbird" even though it's open right in front of me.
A million years ago I was on a call at work, with the person on the other end on speaker. They mentioned that "So-and-so lost his FAT." So-and-so was quite obese, so of course I said, "Good! He needs to lose his fat!" So-and-so was present and heard my comment.
Fortunately So-and-so had a sense of humor.
Maybe it was just because I was a nerd, but I found the annual new crop of textbooks and workbooks exciting. I can't imagine my reaction to the same old device (more or less) every year.
"Brain and brain, what is brain??" One of my favorite episodes, despite its reputation for awfulness.
Anyway, happy April Fools' Day.
I feel I will be forced to retire, whether i like it or not.
Or you could develop news skills and learn how to monetize your daily activities.
I'm planning to sell ad space on my "Get off my lawn!" signs.
Please go away.
