American media is largely shaped by affluent men in Hollywood and New York. And these men have deemed that women are attractive from about twelve to their late twenties, while men are attractive from about twenty to the start of baldness.

Too much proteines is pretty rough on your kidneys. That's why people going on protein diets (probably one of the easiest way to lose weight) have to be closely followed by doctors, and why body builders often learn the hard way they actually need kidneys.

Pao's vision for reddit censorship was to ban subs that made a lot of noise and didn't do much, otherwise the subs I mentioned which actually dox, harass, and brigade other subs would be gone and their uses banned. I wouldn't say she got fired for ruining reddit -- odds are she was hired and ordered to ruin reddit, then fired to show that the leadership sympathizes with the redditors. If there had been real concern over her decisions, those decisions would have been reversed.

SJW is not a term that is adopted by people who tend to do actual social good through campaigning and proactive behaviour. SJW (particularly on social networks) is a self-applied term that armchair experts use to make themselves appear to be "good" people, i.e., those who sign an ill-devised online petition once in a while or fervently use a hashtag to "raise awareness". Thankfully, for the most part, their reach is limited to a relatively small group of people who already agree with

I have literally never seen someone call themselves an sjw. I have almost exclusively seen it used by people annoyed with liberal / progressive ideas, particularly feminism, as a means of dismissing and belittling the speaker / writer. Its application has been regardless of the actual merits of whatever the person said, instead being usually a defensive tactic against a perceived attack (usually of someone's or a group's privilege).
