I plan to use this as my next desktop after Win7 x64, since it seems MS is not propagating the Win10 security patches to 7 and 8. I'm running it in a VM and so far it seems very promising. Snappy, small memory requirements and the added bonuses of almost no telemetry, no spyware and no Cortana.

The main reason I decided to migrate is that Win7 is no more viable for me. I find that the shift to monthly security updates have worsened the update situation. My current Windows 7 x64 just refuses to install the September update (KB4038777) and there is no cure for it, as currently there is no definitive solution but an in-place reinstall (been searching for a week now trying all procedures found in MS and other forums). When the updates were isolated patches one could troubleshoot the offending one, but now with the monthly updates it's an all-or-nothing deal - if it doesn't want to play along you're doomed. Given the number of people having the issue (just search error code 80073701 kb4038777 and see) I predict that Win7 will slowly but inevitably fade away due to the inability to patch it properly.

BR2049 honed in on all the great aspects of the original, and gave a lot more of that. In a lot of scenes, it showed a great deal, without actually having to dwell a long time on it, even though the movie was long. I personally most enjoyed the scenes which, some would argue are pointless, because they're just cars flying through the air, in the backdrop of the city, with the music, it all worked very well. For me, it really came across that the movie had a story to tell in the way that a good story teller embellishes and articulates certain details, as opposed to just getting the job done, because of a more corporate approach of 90 minutes, and your typical checklist of getting the introduction, complication and resolution.

Which is pretty brutally obvious. In COMPARISON, Windows Phone is actually pretty easy.

The mistake you're making here is that you're basing this off of anecdotes. Again, the empirical evidence very strongly says that it isn't.

Additionally, the guy you are quoting pointed out this "But the biggest one was lack of relevance". Which is kind of my point. WTF would someone rewrite their apps for "player #3" (keeping in mind, they're AT BEST #3) who no one cares about?

That wasn't his point. Watch his youtube video:

He's not talking about apps.

But let's forget all of that... You think it's the UI. Fine.

No, no, and no. Pay attention. My comment was a reply to another poster who said that Windows Phone didn't have a bad UI. What I'm showing is that this is false. In fact, there are MANY design experts who have commented as such over the years. But to be totally honest, there wasn't ever anything special or good about windows phone; it is and always was a "me too!" platform.
