I've actually recently started training [seidomd.com] with sai.
A basic technique is rotating them around the "guard", so that it flips from the long "tine" lying along the forearm and the butt of the handle being availabe to strike with, to the "tines" being out.
Good sai (not the cheap chome kinds) are rather heavy.
You know that problem people have with the Wiimote, where it goes flying out of someone's hand? Imagine that occuring with a good heavy piece of steel.

I submit that there is only one TRUE TMNT game, and that's it. Forget the sequels, forget the ports. TMNT1 in the arcade, with 4 players.

However, and being able to save at any time was a nice feature. However, one thing the NES version had far superior was lack of loading time. I recall playing the Amiga version when I was 6 or 7, luckily I was a patient enough kid to look at "Please Wait. Loading." for at least 4 or 5 seconds

Leonardo was the one with the paired katana (two swords) although katana tend to be paired with a slightly shorter wakizashi. He was also given a blue eye mask/knee pad combo in the cartoon, along with an L on his belt, to make identification easier for kids. He was the de facto leader with the strong sense of honor and justice.
Raphael was the one with dual sai (a three pronged, generally unsharpened, dagger). In the cartoon, his color scheme was red based. He was the angsty anti-hero on the team.
Donatello was the one with a bo staff. His cartoon color theme was purple. He was the wise cracking geek inventor on the team.
Michelangelo was the one with a pair of nunchaku (two sectioned staff). In the caroon, his color shceme was orange based. He was the easy going, pizza obsessed one who kept yelling cowabunga.
