Definition:
Learning Environment Independent Architecture (LEIA):
LEIA focused on Evolvable Systems with Planned Architecture.
Reason: International commitments and customer focus
Benefits: Cost control and systems change management
Orientation: People in Amicable Technology Environments
Standards: Item and Object Interoperability Compliance
Deliver: Systems with feature rich optional configurations, incremental technology insertion of innovations, functional purpose solutions for requirements, object oriented building blocks of HW-&-SW, network web-based content and management, distributed collaborative community foundations, teleLearning, teleLinguistics , teleMedicine, ... simulations for training, ... content development, continuity, sharing, ...
LEIA - Three Independent Structures
Learning - (1) Environment [Classroom/Language Lab]
(2) Center [Schoolhouse/Campus]
(3) Community [Distributed Campuses]
NOTE: TCP/IP, all systems, computers, network servers
and the devices will Auto-Discover & Configure.
1. "Learning Environment" Student & Teacher Environment
2. "Learning Center" Multiple Multipurpose Environments
3. "Learning Community" Using Learning Environment/Center building blocks
Campus/Community Learning Centers will provide transient/permanent forward base buffering and storage (RAM, HDD/V-RAM), of frequent use and/or large content files, references, libraries, simulations, and Avatar Populated Experience Simulations (APES) content resources.
Local, Regional, and/or National programs applying technology applications for "Distance Learning" including disparate collective assets, and requiring centralized systems and services management will allow student/teacher amicable use of telecommunications.
Broadband routing/switching and broadcast RF/Cable resources that provide "Web-Based" appropriate Video Teleconferencing (VTC), simulcast, multicast, ... Simulations/APES for on-demand and scheduled collaboration.
Simulations/APES sessions related to development, participation, and sharing of content, curriculum, products, ... will be available during learning experiences between students/teachers (for K-12,Trade,University).
