Take some time today and express to your significant other how much they mean to you. Do something completely unexpected - hide flowers in the shower, or on the pillow. It's as good a day as any to show your loved ones how you feel. But, at the same time, don't forget to express this every day of your lives. While Valentine's Day is a great celebration, we should all remember to celebrate love every day of our lives.
Even if you don't have a relationship with someone, do something special today. Go for a walk with someone - just let them know you care. You might be suprised how much a little kindness can go.

anyway, this morning i also decided i might get her some chocolates
she got me a box of precisely 312 (yes, three hundred and twelve) hershey's kisses, which she individually unwrapped, wrote "i love you" on each of the flags, then rewrapped them
both sets of gifts were just great, not because of what they were, but because of everything that went into them, thought and effort
so, congrats to Rob and Kathleen (or is that CmdrTaco and LtCmdrTaco now?)

Since the church changed hands, though, I get a lot of email from them, usually with some flimsy pretext of news and then lots of ads for church merchandise. It's better than "Hot Lolitas Want Your Penis Lengthened by 1-2 inches", I suppose, but it's said that even my church can't stand by its principles.
