so, just to be clear, the fact that europeans live longer in general than americans, is that because of socialism, communism or tyranny?

It's mostly caused by demographic differences. Americans are much more likely to be ethnicities that have a genetic predisposition toward shorter lifetimes.

i imagine there is the same "opportunity" for europeans to participate in the free labor market as illegal immigrants have in the US.

specifically: paid peanuts with no benefits for hard menial labor. if you want to work without "da gummint" interfering, there are always options. i could use a new shirt anyway, and that's five cents that can go to an asian child.

Forcing somebody to work more than 10h/day and 50h/week

Except there is no force. If you don't like the hours, choose a different job.

The difference between America and Europe is that in America, people can decide for themselves how much of a life-work balance they want.

In Europe, the government makes that decision for you.

how much is the cheapest TV today compared to the 90s

You can't eat your TV. You can't drive your TV to the grocery store. You can't take your TV into the bank and get a home loan, nor can you take your TV to a home seller and get a reasonable price. You can't hand it to the university and be handed back an education. You can't give your doctor your TV and receive surgical or even preventive care or the meds you need.

Your problem (other than the root one of spewing disingenuous nonsense) is that you're looking at the pricing in the electronics sector and pretending it's representative of the extremely high basic living costs I called out (which of course it is not) — nowhere did I say anything about either the pricing of electronics or the need for a TV to achieve a reasonable cost of living. Nor should you have. But here we are.

Intel is so far behind the curve

The past decade has made it clear that being both a chip designer and a chip fabber is a bad idea. You are only as strong as the weakest link.

Almost all of Intel's competitors have gone fabless and benefited from that.

Samsung is the only other big company that does both design and fabbing.

If you find what you want on the first attempt, you will view fewer ads.

Google's optimal strategy is to figure out what you want, then show you something tantalizingly close so that you make several more attempts to zero in. That maximizes ad views but doesn't suck enough for users to abandon Google and switch to an alternative search engine.
