What I find even funnier is that you can actually buy magnetic tetrahedrons (tetranom) at about the size they show (though smaller balls) and even up to 2 m per bar length. They're used as 3D measurement standards [metronom.de] and are even thermally compensated. Of course they cost $10K+ a piece. We have one in-house.
