Positive: I use it once as pdf converter.
Some time ago, having to convert 1 single file into PDF, I paid about 1 Euro (and I never used it again) and perhaps I didn't read some contracts as they were in English and I was in a hurry.
I only noticed today that you charged me 49.99 euros per month on PayPal as it is a "monthly subscription", which I cancel immediately with an email.

Negative: Read carefully!!!! the because one single use is a subscription with 49,99 euro for month until you canceled it.

Summary: Terrible pdf guru do not use . They tell you free trial and you get hit $76 I WANT MY MONEY BACK AND HUNDREDS OF PEOPLE BEEN SCAMMED

Positive: They take your money without authority. Just look them up on Facebook and see for yourself

Positive: This company is a scam and they will fraudulently charge you numerous time. I had to get an attorney and close my bank account.

Negative: They are scammers and swindlers. They opened multiple accounts under my email address when I asked to close the account, and then refused to refund me.

Summary: I only discovered the fraud on October 31, 2024, as I hadn’t been regularly reviewing my bank statements.

Unfortunately, PDF Guru appears to be engaging in fraudulent practices, as reported by numerous individuals on various review websites. I, too, have fallen victim to their unauthorized billing.
On 1 August 2024 I completed a one-time payment online for $1.52 to PDF Guru to convert a file from pdf to Word.
On the following dates, they charged me recurring fees for a “subscription” I never authorized, as follows:

07 Aug 2024: $76.77
06 September 2024: $73.99
06 October 2024: $72.54
31 October 2024: $76.51

Since then, I have reported PDF Guru to the Australian Federal Police, the Commonwealth Bank of Australia, and the Cyber Crime Authority in Australia, with the hope of recovering the funds that were unlawfully debited from my credit card account.

Summary: Avoid because their main focus isn’t on the service and customers that want to use but rather on how to scan people with their free trial nonsense that doesn’t work anyway

Negative: Just when automatic subscription takes $50 for one month for the service you have never ended up using as the produced document a year ago was not good enough and you beg the customer care to refund your hard earned money as you’re single mother and pregnant and they just say no because of a refund policy.

Summary: I wanted to convert 1 pdf document and used this service. It was online and asked only that i upload the document, then asked for my email address in order to download the conversion. Turns out you'll be asked to pay 95 cents (once only payment for limited use).
Worked fine - converted to .jpeg and downloaded.
Just after 2 weeks later i was billed for €49.95 "Subscription fee".
I had also used PDF Guru to do the same, also the same online format and also costing 95 cents for limited use. This time i was billed for €39.95 again for subscription.
On their site it's explained that you can log into your account and from there cancel any automatic payments...
I can't do this as i don't have an account to log into.

On line there was no single warning that you were about to sign up for any membership or subscription service.
Therefore i can only assume that this is purely an illegal Scam.
I am now in contact with visa to register a dispute claim against this company.
Mail complaints to the service desk are automatically answered and don't appear to offer any resolution.

run by the same people and are apparently just SCAM sites that are trying to defraud you for services you haven't been made aware of or been informed about

Their feedback, as you can see by all the complaints here on Trustpilot, is an automatically generated text. From what i can see everyone receives the same answer. I recommend that you contact your bank, credit card or PayPal and make a complaint by them and ask for a dispute procedure regarding any further attempts at monthly billing. I suggest that you also make a complaint to google as this is clearly a Scam site.

Positive: Nothing they only want to steal your money.
They sell the product by offering it as free to use but with limited functionality. Then you find out you'll need to pay 95 cents (that's how they get your credit card number or PayPal account enabling them to set up recurring monthly billing). you'll be asked to give your email address to download your document and hidden is your agreement for subscription and to make an account.
Then you're trapped. Complain immediately to your bank, start a dispute procedure immediately.

Negative: That they will steal as much money from you as they can, you will be unable to cancel or stop them without the help of your bank, credit card company or PayPal. These are professional criminals.

Summary: Horrible. I will be advising everyone I know NOT to try this as it’s like throwing money into the trash.

Positive: Nothing. It didn’t work at all. I tried to use it and it would not convert anything into a pdf. Waste of time and money

Negative: Everything. I tried the $1.99 week trial and could not get it to work at all. I requested it be cancelled as it was useless and 7 days later I got charged $49.99 regardless. I requested a refund as soon as I got the notification that they had charged my account and got a message back refusing and instead offering me a lifetime membership. Absurd!!!! I didn’t even get any use out of the week trial, and now I’ve been charged for a month that I won’t get to use cause it DOESN’T WORK!

Negative: -Agreed to pay £0.99 which received a bill for, now I’ve been charged £0.99 plus £49.99. Customer service are rubbish, they said it’s not refundable when others companies do refund your money. Avoid!!!

Summary: I needed to convert a document. I usually use free tools but they came recommended. Bad recommendation. I selected 1 time use for $1, which $1.36 CAD was charged to my Mastercard. Out of no where, no communication at all, my card was charged $67.45 CAD. When I went to their website they had my account signed up for a subscription. I haven't used them since that one time and don't intend to use them again so why would I need a subscription? It is unauthorized. I've filed a dispute with my credit card company as from other reviews on here, I probably won't get my money back from them willingly.

They are not transparent about their services and come across fraudulent.

Summary: Searched for a free converter for one time use. This site came up and i paid £1 to use. They never emailed to say it is a subscription and that i had used a trial and they would now charge £50 monthly for a service i don't need. The one time use was useless. Overcharging on subscriptions, Don't ever put your card numbers in. I was charged $50 saying monthly subscription. Now although i have paid $50, my subscription status says cancelled. So they scammed me of $51 for 7 days and 1 document that was not usable. They will not refund and they state they sent email before charging and to check my spam. Nothing....no messages at all. They have offered me a discount on a lifetime plan! Shame on these people.

Positive: None. Falsely advertised and fraudulent company. Customer service is appalling and unhelpful. Application was useless and eventually the one document i needed ever was not usable.

Negative: Everything! This is a con service. Do not use. If you are going to spend this overpriced amount, buy an adobe licence it's cheaper! I used this service once for one document and that's all i needed it for.

Summary: Overcharging on subscriptions, Don't ever put your card numbers in. I was charged $0.99 on 04/09. I got a email telling your subscription is cancelled on 11/09 but still got charged $50 saying monthly subscription. Now although i have paid $50, my subscription status says cancelled. So they scammed me of $51 for 7 days. Shame on these people. Still they don't have the answer to the question why I received a email saying my subscription was cancelled and then charge me?? They don't have answers for me anymore.

Positive: No pros at all, scamming people. Taking advantage of people's innocence and scamming them. Emails us saying the subscription is cancelled and then still charges you.

Negative: Fraud and a very big scam, never trust these people. Please read reviews on google first before jumping on to the website. Never give your card details to them.

Summary: Worst application on the internet they will steal your money legally, people like this should not be allowed on the internet.

Positive: No pros for this application they stole $79 from me with there 1 euros trial…. it's a shame to do this to students.

Negative: Being a student and getting scammed for $70 is pretty rough.
