    Summary: Overall I am not satisfied, I made a complaint through my bank to try to get my money back, although I am not sure how it would go.

    Positive: I must admit the software is not bad, quite intuitive, but unfortunately all the pros are being devaluated by the fact it was a scam.

    Negative: This website is clearly a scam to take people’s money for a service that they never used. Additionally, there is no customer service or a phone number to contact a live representative except a robot that sends automatic replies. Please respond to my email and issue me my refund of $49.99 as I am not entirely sure what I’m paying the money for? I have not used any of your services.     Summary: Immoral scum. Offers a simple service for a dollar but secretly sets you up for a monthly $50 fee. Just opt for one of the many other services that can do the exact same thing minus the nefarious tactics.

    Positive: The service makes it easy to manipulate pdf documents, which I needed to do for an important application. The service was simple to use and intuitive.

    Negative: Like most gurus, this guru values money more than integrity. Making a competitive product is hard, so they resort to using deception to get people on their subscription service. Shame on them.

    As far as I see, your subscription has been automatically renewed after the expiration of the Trial Period that was purchased on June 10th. Unless you cancel your subscription, you authorize us to charge you for the renewal term. To avoid being charged, you must affirmatively cancel a subscription at least 24 hours before the end of the subscription period.
     
    Since the subscription was not canceled, the subscription fee was withdrawn from your account. For more information, you may check the Subscription Terms.

    We value your experience, and we're sorry for any inconvenience caused. Our goal is to ensure a smooth and informed experience for all our customers. The subscription terms, along with the specific products you opted for and their total cost, were clearly disclosed during the trial offer purchase process.

    Avoid - misleading and extortionate business practices!

    Summary: Abhorrent business practices, plenty of alternative free and paid services that don't rely upon deceit to get grow their customer base.

    Positive: Sadly any pros were wiped upon extortion. I cannot in good conscience articulate anything in the positive for this business.

    Negative: I needed to fill out a lengthy PDF form. I stumbled upon this webpage and it took me straight through to editing my document on their site. Initially it worked well, so I proceeded with a the 30-minute task. Upon finishing, I am slapped with a payment request to access everything that I had been doing for the last hour. I felt extorted. I would have gladly paid up front had I know, but after investing the time, I just wanted to get on with my day. Despite feeling misled on principle, I paid the US$0.99 for my file. Still reeling from the gross experience of a pushy deceptive business transaction, I thought I would log in to see if they had ADDITIONALLY snagged me into a subscription that I would never ever ever consent to. And indeed, there it was, next charge due in 7 days at an obscenely high price. Immediately cancelled. For unsuspecting users which you will see all over the internet reviewing this business, some people don't realise until much later that not only are they initially extorted, but if they give into the extortion to receive their one-time file, they then get charged AGAIN. PDF Guru, you should be ashamed of yourselves.

    Summary: They came up in Google for a free PDF 2 Ebook conversion. I followed all instructions, including giving them my email (which is reasonable). Then, to download my ebook, I would have to buy a 7-Day Trial for $.99 at the bare minimum. The choices only went up from there and quickly. They're using the classic bait & switch tactic for a mere $.99, therefore an incredibly untrustworthy company.

    Deceptive practice

    Summary: Appalling customer service. The design of the payment section of the website leads a customer to choose between a paid trial and a paid subscription. One has to then read the 'small print ‘ beyond this to discover the trial period needs to be cancelled or a subscription fee will be billed. The company claims a reminder email will be sent but I did not receive this. I explained the mistake to customer service and requested a refund. They refused.

    Positive: Nothing. I do not have any positive comments to share but have plenty of negative comments about the practices employed by this company.

    Negative: I only wish I had read the reviews before purchasing. I too opted for the 0.99 trial and was shocked to find $49.99 deducted from my PayPal card a week later. I contacted the company and explained my situation but they refused a refund. When I kept pushing, they simply stopped answering my emails. Like others, I did not receive an email alerting me me to the upcoming charge as the company claimed. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.
