    Summary: I’m extremely disappointed with PDF Guru’s customer service. Despite requesting a refund for an unauthorized charge, they refused, hiding behind rigid refund policies. I only intended to use the service once and contacted them promptly, but they showed no flexibility or genuine effort to resolve my concerns.

    This lack of consideration for customers is unacceptable. I won’t use PDF Guru again and caution others against subscribing unless you’re okay with unexpected charges and unhelpful support. Customer satisfaction clearly isn’t their priority.

    Some time ago, having to convert 1 single file into PDF, I paid about 1 Euro (and I never used it again) and perhaps I didn't read some contracts as they were in English and I was in a hurry.
    I only noticed today that you charged me 49.99 euros per month on PayPal as it is a "monthly subscription", which I cancel immediately with an email.

    Fraudster in Nicosia

    Summary: I only discovered the fraud on October 31, 2024, as I hadn’t been regularly reviewing my bank statements.

    Negative: PDF Guru operates 26 Stavrou Street, Strovolos 2034, Nicosia, Cyprus.
    Unfortunately, PDF Guru appears to be engaging in fraudulent practices, as reported by numerous individuals on various review websites. I, too, have fallen victim to their unauthorized billing.
    On 1 August 2024 I completed a one-time payment online for $1.52 to PDF Guru to convert a file from pdf to Word.
    On the following dates, they charged me recurring fees for a “subscription” I never authorized, as follows:

    07 Aug 2024: $76.77
    06 September 2024: $73.99
    06 October 2024: $72.54
    31 October 2024: $76.51

    Since then, I have reported PDF Guru to the Australian Federal Police, the Commonwealth Bank of Australia, and the Cyber Crime Authority in Australia, with the hope of recovering the funds that were unlawfully debited from my credit card account.

    Beware serious scam site

    Summary: I wanted to convert 1 pdf document and used this service. It was online and asked only that i upload the document, then asked for my email address in order to download the conversion. Turns out you'll be asked to pay 95 cents (once only payment for limited use).
    Worked fine - converted to .jpeg and downloaded.
    Just after 2 weeks later i was billed for €49.95 "Subscription fee".
    I had also used PDF Guru to do the same, also the same online format and also costing 95 cents for limited use. This time i was billed for €39.95 again for subscription.
    On their site it's explained that you can log into your account and from there cancel any automatic payments...
    I can't do this as i don't have an account to log into.

    On line there was no single warning that you were about to sign up for any membership or subscription service.
    Therefore i can only assume that this is purely an illegal Scam.
    I am now in contact with visa to register a dispute claim against this company.
    Mail complaints to the service desk are automatically answered and don't appear to offer any resolution.

    run by the same people and are apparently just SCAM sites that are trying to defraud you for services you haven't been made aware of or been informed about

    Their feedback, as you can see by all the complaints here on Trustpilot, is an automatically generated text. From what i can see everyone receives the same answer. I recommend that you contact your bank, credit card or PayPal and make a complaint by them and ask for a dispute procedure regarding any further attempts at monthly billing. I suggest that you also make a complaint to google as this is clearly a Scam site.

    Positive: Nothing they only want to steal your money.
    They sell the product by offering it as free to use but with limited functionality. Then you find out you'll need to pay 95 cents (that's how they get your credit card number or PayPal account enabling them to set up recurring monthly billing). you'll be asked to give your email address to download your document and hidden is your agreement for subscription and to make an account.
    Then you're trapped. Complain immediately to your bank, start a dispute procedure immediately.

    Negative: That they will steal as much money from you as they can, you will be unable to cancel or stop them without the help of your bank, credit card company or PayPal. These are professional criminals.

    Negative: Everything. I tried the $1.99 week trial and could not get it to work at all. I requested it be cancelled as it was useless and 7 days later I got charged $49.99 regardless. I requested a refund as soon as I got the notification that they had charged my account and got a message back refusing and instead offering me a lifetime membership. Absurd!!!! I didn’t even get any use out of the week trial, and now I’ve been charged for a month that I won’t get to use cause it DOESN’T WORK!
