Negative: How PDF Guru Scammed Me
While browsing PDF Guru’s website, I came across an offer that stated their service could be used for a one-time payment of $0.99. I decided to try it out. However, a week later—without any prior notice, email, or my authorization—they charged $49.99 to the same card I used for the $0.99 payment.

I immediately contacted their support team, and they claimed to have processed a $49.99 refund, instructing me to wait 14 business days (23 calendar days) for the amount to reflect in my account. I found this unreasonable, considering they withdrew the money in an instant, but refunding it supposedly takes weeks.

After the 14 business days passed, the refund still hadn’t appeared. Despite their repeated claims that the money had already been sent, my bank confirmed that no such transaction was received.

Summary: WHAT BOTHERS ME THE MOST >> This is a deliberate business practice. Sending a reminder email costs nothing. They choose not to because surprise charges are profitable. I'm not disputing that I signed up for a trial. I'm disputing the lack of basic customer courtesy that every legitimate subscription service provides. Netflix reminds you. Adobe reminds you. Even my local gym sends a text.

If you do sign up, set a calendar reminder yourself—because they won't, and you'll be out $49

Negative: I signed up for DPF Guru's free trial. What I didn't expect: being charged $49 without any notification that my trial was ending or that a charge was coming. No email warning. No "your trial ends in 3 days" reminder. Just a surprise charge.

When I contacted customer service within 24 hours, they refused a refund, citing their "non-refundable" policy.

Negative: I signed up for what was advertised as a simple trial for under €1. What they don’t tell you clearly is that unless you cancel—buried deep in their terms—you’ll be charged €49.99 monthly. That’s exactly what happened to me. I never agreed to a subscription, and despite sending multiple complaints, they ignored every single one. No refund, no resolution—just silence.
This company operates like a subscription trap, preying on unsuspecting users. Their customer service is nonexistent, and they seem perfectly content profiting off deception. I consider this behavior fraudulent and unethical.

Summary: Now I found that they charged my bank account, $49.99. Until now, they have never acknowledged my email. I sent it to :support@pdfguru.com ; info@pdfguru.com; help@pdfguru.com; and social@pdfguru.com but none of these ever replied. I don't think any of these emails are working. I will give them 24 hours to reply to me otherwise, I will report PDF Guru to INTERPOL's Cybercrime Unit since this is a crossborder scam / fraud operation and to Cyprus Police's Office for Combating Cybercrime (OCC) since they are registered in Cyprus.

Negative: I am upset that I got charge $49.99 for a monthly fee. I tried it out for a $.99 "one-time" use and immediately cancelled via email, within 48 hours....no acknowledgement. I sent another follow up email after another 2 days....still no acknowledgement.

Summary: It is sheeting an a fraud avoid using it.

Positive: It does the job, but sheeting.

Negative: It asks you to pay money for every action. Then after a week they withdraw non-refundable 45 USD without prior notice. There is a little note about that you hardly see. After paying the 45 USD, if you decide to use the application, it asks you again to pay for every action. It is a fraud 100% avoid using it.

There is no Pros only scamming peoples starting from 99 cents turn into $49.99/month.

Negative: I signed up for what I thought was a 99¢ subscription and never even used the product. Without my knowledge, I was being charged $49.99 per month for 18 months.

When I finally noticed and called to cancel, they immediately offered me a 6-month refund—which tells me they know exactly what they’re doing. Even more insulting, during that same call they offered me a 2-year subscription for just 99¢ (smile), showing the whole “premium” price is a complete gimmick.

To make matters worse, I discovered that the same exact product—with the same features—is available from another company for $49.99 per year, not per month.

This company’s business model feels deceptive and predatory. Please be aware and check your statements carefully.

Summary: It isn’t purchasing a one time 5 days purchase (€1.99) like it seems, it’s a subscription and after the first week you are charged €50 Euro, this company is the worst, hidden terms and conditions and they are proud of that fact, pathetic! Avoid at any cost!!!!

When i tried to refund my money they said that's the terms of our policy. I don't even get a refund via PayPal cause they are well protected!!!

Positive: I just tried to convert a simple pdf to a word format page.Just for training. I paid 2€ for 7 days ( that is Ok) but after that they changed me 49.99€!!!for a subscription month!!!

Negative: You pay 2€ for a one time 5 days purchase but it is hidden one month 50€ purchase description! Be aware of this scams and thieves!!!

Negative: I started the 7-day free trial on July 23 and was charged $49.99 on July 30—before the trial even ended. I contacted support immediately and explained the issue, but they flat-out refused to refund me.

Positive: I needed 1 conversion, I paid 3.99 for the service. Two months later, it turned out that when I bought a one-time service, I activated a subscription for PLN 214 per month.

Negative: They don't tell you theres a charge. Comes up in a free google search. Then you upload document and go to download they ask you to pay one of 3 options. I took cheapest and limited access.
8 days later they are stealing 76 dollars from my account after I thought I had 1 dollar to get the one download I needed. Support cancel when I call and email but no refund. 77 dollars for one document.

Positive: Overall, a good product, all the functions of Adobe Acrobat PDF editor are implemented. Easy to use.

Negative: Not for free, as being marketed. Moreover, after a trial payment advertised as a one-time payment, I was immediately charged with 49,99 eur for "renewed subscription" which they conveniently withdrew without my approval from my PayPall account. Once contacted, they replied: "We understand this may be disappointing, but according to our Refund Policy, payments made through our website are non-refundable. Therefore, we are unable to process a refund, as this is consistent with the policies outlined in our Money-Back"

I’ve been emailing support CONSTANTLY and they can’t “find my account” even though I am providing them my account info as well as the card they have charged over 5 times.

No agreement has been reached yet. I have asked these crooks to immediately provide me with proof of contract conclusion, proof of payment, and the results of the technical inspection according to Section 67 of the Telecommunications Act.
They can't do that. Because they're scammers.

I never signed up for a subscription here. It was hidden on the website. I paid for a year!

Unfortunately, you really can't see that you're signing up for a subscription. It looks like it costs €0.99. I strongly warn against this company; you're just being ripped off.
