Summary: I signed up for a 7 day window to try the product. I was unaware that if, after trying the product, you would be signed up to a subscription and your credit card would be duly charged. I contacted the company and was told politely that they would not reverse the charge on my credit card because their "terms and conditions" state that you must advise them you wish to cancel. This is a old scam and a lesson learned by an old senior. They did say that they have cancelled my subscription but not reimbursed the $70.00 subscription fee. Now not trusting this company at all I am in the process of cancelling my credit card and getting a new number.

Positive: I have nothing positive to say about this company other than they did reply by email to my request for a refund.

Negative: This company is set up to con you. If you sign up to try it and fail to advise them within a 10 day period they will debit your credit card for a full subscription which I never authorized. It is a total scam....watch out.

Summary: Awful! I was scammed out of $49.99. It's a trap! Don't do it! SCAM! SCAM! SCAM!

Positive: The form was easy to find and use. The company is a SCAM.

Negative: They offered a free trial, a monthly membership, or a one time use fee of 1.99. I chose the one time use fee. I paid the$1.99. A week later I was charged $49.99. When I inquired about the fee they said I didn't cancel my subscription. I didn't take the fee trial or the monthly subscription. I now have to go through my bank for fraud charges. It could have been a great service. It's a shame they are dishonest. BEWARE! IT'S A SCAM.

Summary: Fortunately, my bank blocked the charges & I was contacted by the fraud department. Appropriate name. Frauds. Do not use this site!

Helpful Hint: Some PDFs (like state & federal tax forms) are fillable once you download the blank version to your desktop.

Positive: I don't feel there are no pros to this site. It is a scam. Find another option for editing your PDFs.

Negative: You are led to believe this is a limited free service until you have finished your document. In order to save and download the PDF you must pay 99cents. it is NOT CLEAR this is a trial (if it's stated at all - I don't remember). Then, a week later they will charge you $49.99. PDF Guru attempted TWO consecutive charges totalling just under $100.00. I didn't receive any emails saying it was a trial, there would be additional charges, not at the time of purchase or at the 7 day time of the attempted charges. There is no clear info stated on their website, no info in their welcome email. There is only a 'no refunds' statement in their money back policies.

Summary: Awful, they promised to stop taking payments but continued after I cancelled my subscription. They won't refund my money. When you call customer service you have to go through 5 sets of questions before you get a person. They lied to me throughout the whole issue.

Positive: The software did convert my PDF to a JPEG as requested. That is the only positive thing I can say about the experience.

Negative: I paid $1.99 to convert a single word file to a JPEG. Then I started getting monthly charges of $49.99 and was told they would cancel the subscription and refund one of three monthly charges. I checked my bank account today and they had taken $49.99 again! I am working with my bank to block any further charges and also to get my $150.00 back. DO NOT USE THIS SITE!!

Summary: Definitely a scam! Tricks you with thinking you are being charged a ONE time fee of just 99 cents then charges 49.99 for a subscription. Do not use pdf guru if you do not want to be out of money you didn't plan on spending for a horrible experience. Downloaded this service on 7/11 and emailed pdf guru on 7/18 to cancel once I noticed I was realized this was not a one time 99 cent fee. They charged me 49.99 and refused to issue a refund. I was trying to convert a document regarding funeral services I attended and was out of town during the so called trial period. I contacted them immediately when I discovered this was a subscription and not a one time purchase.

Positive: The 99 cent charge was appealing until I discovered that was misleading. I should have known something was not right when my bank suspended my card and I had to confirm I made this purchase. They flagged the activity as fraud and it definitely was.

Negative: Besides the rip of for 49.99 the actual service is a waste of time. I could not successfully convert my document and had to use another app.

Summary: PDF GURU are a bunch of scammers ! Do not sign up for the trial. Instead they sign you up for a subscription you do not want then con you out of one month’s subscription fee £49.99 GBP when you try to cancel. The way they operate is ILLEGAL in the UK. Shame on you !!!

Positive: NONE AVOID. There are absolutely no pro’s to signing up for the trial it’s a CON to extort money !!!

Summary: It's just a clever scam. It purports to be FREE and is anything but. After you have paid for your 7 day Trial YOU MUST CANCEL IT BY DAY SIX otherwise they'll charge you 49.99 EVERY MONTH.

Positive: None. When you do a search for a 'FREE' pdf editor/converter, pdf guru will probably show at the top of the page. It invites you to upload your document for conversion for FREE.

Negative: It's not FREE. when you attempt to download your converted document it requires payment...for a 7 day 'Trial' But read the 'small print'.

Summary: Very negative- the customer support team has alleged that the monies were refunded to me. They have not been and my bank cannot trace any refunded transaction from PDF Guru.

Positive: No further comments- my experience was tainted by the monies deducted from my account despite the cancellation.

Negative: Charged for an annual subscription despite cancelling my trial period. The customer support team was completely unhelpful and no monies were refunded to me.

Summary: Annoyed by the lack of customer service and the scam of the charge to my account. False advertising.

Positive: Initially I wanted to use it to convert images from pdf to jpg. I did input and it wouldn’t convert the images in the way I needed.

Negative: I signed up for the initial price that seemed like a one time price. However I soon realized that the website couldn’t help me with what I needed to be done. I was then surprised when there was a 49.99 charge on my account. I emailed them and they refused to refund my money. Any company that has customer service would never refuse to refund a customer that was not satisfied with product.

Summary: Awful.

Positive: Nothing.

Negative: Stay away from these con artists. Did a trial, then 2 months later they took 50 euro out of my account despite me never using the service as it couldn't do what I needed. I used a different pdf editor service which worked brilliantly. Refused to refund me despite explaining the situation.

Summary: Worst experience ever, I never though I could be deceive in this way by a website, now I will proceed with legal process

Positive: According to them they are transparency and clear, but they are not. They deceive you to pay for the 0.99 usd trial out for 7 day so they can after that can charge for a 50 usd monthly fee subscription, most of the emails go to spam so you won't notice until is too late to file a claim. Also they won't make you a refund through the website, knowing that most of the payments and enrollments are through website. Horrible experience I strongly recommend to avoid this website and app

Summary: Terrible experience, I had to cancel my card to avoid possible charges. I needed 1 document and paid for it, and then received the notification that €49.99 more was debited. Scam and terrible experience

Negative: The value of €49.99 was charged, a subscription that I neither needed nor wanted was charged, I contacted the company to request a refund and they claim that they do not make refunds in anyway.

Summary: Scam - stay away!
I initially got charged a very small fee which was ok for trying it out. But nowhere did it warm me that it will then start charging a $50 monthly membership.

Positive: Nothing. It didn't really work for my need. When I download the edited file, I always got the original instead, so was useless.

Negative: Didn't work, and also attempted a $49 charge the following month, which luckily my credit card company flagged as fraud.

Summary: You purchase a membership for a week at a cheap rate and you are automatically signed up for a monthly membership at a greatly exaggerated rate. There are better options out there.

Negative: This product is a con - it is hard to unsubscribe and now I have unsubscribed I have no faith the next payment won't come out.

Summary: Terrible, please do not use this pdf tool, it is very expensive and there is not notification once the trial ends.

Positive: Nothing, I had to use a different tool to achieve the outcome I needed. It is a useless pdf tool do not use it.

Negative: Very expensive, useless tool. You will not receive an email notification about your trial period ending so manually keep track of that.
