Positive: Nothing. They hide critical information to steal money. There was no disclaimer about how much I would pay or if I would pay anything

Negative: Don’t use it. It’s a fraudulent website.

Negative: Scammers. I paid to have one doc converted to a PDF - a few days later, £50 was taken out of my account as if I'd signed up for a subscription. I had not - why would I - I just paid for the one doc. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE AVOID THIS COMPANY. RUN BY TERRIBLE PEOPLE

Positive: Absolutely nothing worth recommending. The only “free” part was their excuse. Misleading promises, no accountability, and a support mailbox that’s full. A great example of what not to trust online.

Negative: I’m an EU-based customer and I was promised 2 years of full access free of charge by PDF Guru, confirmed in writing by their customer support team. Despite this, my account was charged again on May 20, 2025 — with no authorization or explanation.

When I tried to contact them via email, their support inbox was full and bounced my message back. That’s not just unprofessional — it’s unacceptable.

This is a serious breach of consumer trust and EU withdrawal rights. I’ve already filed a formal complaint to the European Consumer Centre.

Be cautious if you plan to use this platform. Their practices are misleading and their support is nonexistent.

Negative: This is a scam company. I subscribed for a 7 days plan which I paid and then they billed me 50 USD after 7 days just because I didn’t cancel my subscription. If I subscribed to a 7 days they should renew it 7 days too but they didn’t.

Summary: This website is a scam! They say you can sign up for a one time use account for seven days for $1.99, then they charge you without notice a week later that you'll be charged $49.99 for a one year subscription a week later! I disputed the transaction with my payment processor & they wouldn't give me a refund, claiming the company did nothing wrong! I emailed the company and they won't issue a refund either. I read reviews too late that they scam people this way all the time and that people who've used their credit cards with this company's website suddenly have unauthorized charges appear on their accounts! Do not use their service! Very dishonest and definitely not customer service friendly

Summary: PDF Guru is a scam. They will show your account as closed when you cancel online with them before the trial. But they will still run your credit card. Don’t use them! They’re also outside of the US, so you will not be able to get refunded your account.

Positive: It was supposed to be a free trial. But they are dishonest in their process. And because they’re out of the US they can’t be reprimanded.

Negative: Their cancellation process is a sham. They still will run your card after you cancel your account online.

Summary: You will edit you first document, thinking that is for free. Then they will ask you to pay $0.99 to download the edited copy. And then, if you pay via PayPal, they will set up an automatic payment, without you knowing and subscribe you for $49.99 a month.
After my first charge of $49.99, I disputed the transaction, but PyPal approved it. I LOST.

Summary: PLEASE BE CAREFUL I don't want hard working people like myself to be scammed in this manner. Ok its $50 and much worse scams take place on the internet but I think we must stand up to this kind of thing. ALL reputable sites give you the option to cancel and don't just take a FULL subscription.

This company has just taken a monthly $50 subscription when I paid for $.99 for a single day.

I saw the option on 'pdfguru' was not free but I could 'use today for $0.99. I paid for this with my card thinking this was the last I would hear. Even if I'd accidentally signed up ALL reputable companies give you the option to cancel a subscription as it's obvious this type of thing happens.

Over a month later - so I don't where they can suggest it was a 7 day trial - I was debited $50 monthly subscription! Cheaper to get the full adobe suite!!!

Summary: PDF Guru is a website where I have made a translation, i have paid for it and after, they made a subscription of 50 euros per month for which I haven't agreed. There was no message that I will make a subscription, after I have put my card details they have taken 50 euro. Why somebody would pay for separate a product that is included in a subscription and after making a subscription?
I have contacted them but they said I agreed and there is no way to make a refund. That is not true, there was not such a message that I will subscribe.

The customer service insisted I have made this subscription which is not true and refused to make give my money back. They take your card details , you pay for one thing, after they make this subscription which is a fraud.
