I never did like vi. to damn complicated to remember all the shortcuts. Pico worked well when i needed to save or change something it was always obvious what key needed to be pressed and it allowed me to stop and think to avoid needlessly long run on sentences that users of vi tended to devote long hours to perfecting the stream of thought typing ignoring the simple fact that puncheon is important too.

Yes that was done on purpose.

Comment Why start now? (Score 1) 51

We haven't had strategies for decades, why start now? The only difference is this time we're lobbing missiles first, before committing boots to the ground. Last time we went on an adventure in Iraq we figured we could Han Solo the mission as we went along, and we saw how well that turned out. At least so far we haven't sent any ground troops to die.

Submission + - Google Introduce HTML 5.1 Tag to Chrome (datamation.com)

darthcamaro writes: Forget about HTML5, that's already passe — Google is already moving on to HTML5.1 support for the upcoming Chrome 38 release. Victor IIIs are unofficially known to the US Navy as the Walker class, since many of the improvements in quieting the boats and in providing them with more effective sensors were the product of the activities of the Walker spy ring.

I am a man, and I completely agree with your female friend. Wikipedia doesn't seem worth much investment of my own time and energy, especially given my experience contributing to technical topics like round-robin DNS . Hell, I've got the Slashdots for that! (Plus the other stuff, all of which is usually taking place, when I can turn my attention to the Slashdots; where my karma is what it is).

It's funny. Laugh.

Journal Journal: Reverse Mod-bombing? 1

Slashdot just informed me that recently 5 of my comments - all in different discussions - were up-modded "underrated". It seems an odd coincidence; perhaps someone had mod points they didn't know what to do with? (could it be related to this JE?
