And shrinking the population is not a bad thing, except if you're running the world's largest ponzi schemes that depend on an ever growing population, like, you know, social security and Medicare.

He is already fortifying the white house with a military defense system to prevent him being removed from office when he is either impeached or finishes his term.

Their population model didn't capture the billionaires making it too expensive to have children or to even have a parent stay home to care for them. The "everyone must work to make billionaires richer" paradigm that took hold under Reagan and Bush Sr. slowed population growth globally. We're still going to annihilate ourselves but it'll be by destroying the environment we live in and making food unobtainable for the non-billionaire class

Can't tell if we should moderate the article as Troll or Flamebait.

Commenters have already pointed out the dishonesty of the prose based on their own published stats.

Yes, I'm enabling the clickbait by commenting.

Daemon Spawn at that.

Oh JFC.....

What's next...Trans-Bots and DEI for underserved Bot minorities?!!? H1-Bot....?

we need to regulate speech then, exactly the same way we want to regulate firearms.

Only those authorized by the state ought to have speech. Safety First!

(this is largely sarcastic in nature)

It sounds interesting from a hardware perspective ....

....but "Windows"? Ick...no thanks.

JPEG-XL is a good format but I just realized yesterday that Google Docs on Android doesn't support inserting a webp image a decade after Google was pushing it. I had one from a website and needed to run it through imagemagick first.

Android supports it, all the apps using android image primitives supoort it, but one of Google's flagship apps still doesn't.

We used move much faster thirty years ago. If an app supported say GIF, PNM, and TGA when JPEG came out it was supported in the next release.

Hopefully this round will be better. It's probably a management problem ... maybe they will listen to their chatbot since they don't listen to their engineers.

So...there's really a shed that people build to store bicycles?

Again, is this a European thing? I've never heard of a shed dedicated to storing bikes....I can see this is brewing used as an analogy for something else, but the shed/bike concept itself is foreign to me.

Most people rarely ever change a time zone....a good number never leave the one they are born into....

Like many stories...the answer is:

"Well...it seemed like a good idea at the time...."

What the fuck is a bike shed?

Never heard of one or seen one before...is this a European thing?

What is left to change besides oven and microwave times?

One...the most IMPORTANT one....my internal clock....

That really takes close to a week to get fixed every time.....it throws all of us humans off to some degree.

Oh...and my dog....I have to adjust her schedule twice a year too....

It probably makes more sense for ST....but as far as I'm concerned....

JUST PICK ONE AND STICK WITH IT....

I want to quit the damned changing in my lifetime.
