Yeah, I put a little Pacino into it..
Yeah, I put a little Pacino into it..
Then you have fixed the 'system'. Only the belief that we are helpless keeps us from doing so. 'Heaven on Earth' is at our fingertips.
I would like to simplify the JE, Just sunset all regulations and contracts every 20 years. Hardly a new idea, but one worth trying. The 6000 year old rules we live under now are getting a little long in the tooth. No society should exclude anyone.
Yeah, I'm one of those people who never understood the lack of lampshades on our streetlights. There is no reason shine any light above the horizon, except to illuminate the buildings, and most of them, you don't want to see.
You know what else travels far, the noise. You can hear a city from 10-20 miles away.
And the RF, well..
I see, you're being 'cute'
Obviously you don't see. Whether by intent or by accident, I can't say. Your trolling doesn't bother me. In fact it put a smile on my face. Personally, I don't care anymore. Some of us can see things as they are, not as we want them to be, leaving detachment to the maximum extent possible as the only option. Feel free to continue the charade if that's what makes you happy, though you may as well spend your time complaining about the weather. I might even listen, for what's worth to you. Just don't try to claim innocence. This is the world you all built. The DOD is working for you and the system you prop up, whether you recognize it or not. *You need them on that wall!*. That's how you get your 'Everyday Low Prices' from a whole bunch of people besides just Walmart. Directly or indirectly they are keeping you pacified and entertained. You should be grateful you only have to work a half hour for that Happy Meal.. Some people have to work a week, or more for it... That's what the DOD and all those dead guys do for you... Show some respect!
But you are overlooking the context. This is business, nothing else. 'Policing the world' is necessary if you want to secure your contracts. Nobody likes a deadbeat..
...murder of the unborn.
The unborn is not a 'person'. The church says so. Even they go by the legal definition when it's convenient.
*We* are there as little more than muscle at Europe's behest, UK and France in particular, in case anybody has forgotten Libya (and Iraq/Afghanistan) already.. And the Europeans would like nothing better than to see Syria removed from the 'Russian sphere' for very obvious reasons. This seems to me to be the very base of the motions against Assad. The Russians see him as a reliable customer and want to protect that little corner of the market. Imagine, if you will, Pepsi attacking Safeway stores until they remove Coca Cola and occupy all of their shelf space. This is what's at stake here.
They do pay their way. The arms merchants are making billions off these wars. 60 billion from Saudi Arabia alone. To really understand the nature of things, look at it from a businessman's point of view, and discard all the philosophical bs. It is simply an area of dispute amongst the great powers, more like great pirates. It is a gangland turf war. Like all things in life, it's dominate or die. If you want to survive a day in the prison yard, you gotta pick sides. Take all that into account, and then decide the best course of action. Which evil monster do you want to run the world? Most people pick the one with their guns pointed the other way.
Al Qaeda are a bunch of posers. We are there to keep the Russians and Chinese out, period. It's a matter of interests. This whole idea of 'principles' or 'morality' is nothing but a bunch of fluff to sell a war. I don't think anybody really has to play that angle anymore. All that 'guiding light' bullshit went out the window in 2001.
Are we supposed to enjoy life, or suffer through it?
Everything is derivative.
That's certainly true on Wall Street...
*cough* yeah.. for stealing paperclips..
Call your bookie... er, broker!
Yeah! Nobody's forcing you to shelter, clothe, and feed yourself. Why can't you just DIE?!
No wait! Who's gonna change the bedpans??? Who's gonna pre-chew my food?? Where are the wipers?
You mean we are just avatars, and we're stuck inside until it dies?
The hardest part of climbing the ladder of success is getting through the crowd at the bottom.
