Seriously, the more that I see of today's profs the less impressed I am. Have you noticed how many announcements are made about various new items that never make it to market, or even to change the R*D? In some cases, it is all predicated on lies. The profs that the universities are hiring are HORRIBLE, and getting worse. Bad R*D and bad teaching.

The American universities are falling apart, in no small part, because of the quality of ppl being hired.

Sophisticated and knowledgeable eyes don't go trawling trough code looking for bugs, they test the functionality of the binary. They only turn to the code to explain/fix what they have found.

True. In my case, even being debt-free (including mortgage paid off) itemizing is a must to get full benefit - any my accountant computes my return both ways to be sure. IANAA but imagine that anyone with a mortgage and/or a few grand in charitable donations should be itemizing, especially if living in a state w/state taxes.

Just remember to deduct that $100 next year (for those that don't know, tax prep fees are deductible).

And to answer the article question, I use an accountant and e-file. I'm debt-free (including my mortgage) so my taxes aren't difficult, excepting some charitable donations, associated tax-credits and dividends, but the $245 I pay is less than my salary for the time I would spent and I like having someone else review my situation to make sure I'm not doing anything stupid.

This is pretty easy to fix though. Releasing carbon is exothermic, so if we overcorrect, we just burn more fossil fuels. It's taking and sequestering carbon that takes energy input.
