He sounds like he works for Putin.
What do you mean, "descended" into anarchy? It fucking started that way.
I won't use a smartphone unless it has removable storage and a removable battery, one of the many reasons I keep accepting the free Samsung Galaxy phone rather than the free iPhone from my telco every 2 years.
iPhone != "most".
I still remember people in 1996 asking me how to change the user's screen res using JavaScript so "they can view my site correctly" and getting all bent out of shape when I tried to explain to them why this was a horrible idea (and not allowed in any case).
The US became the space leader because the N-1 failed. Had the Russian moonshot rocket worked, they would have beaten us to the moon by a week or so.
None of the N1 launches were manned, and the US had already done a manned flyby of the Moon (the Apollo 8 mission, to be exact) exactly 2 months before the first N1 test shot was made in February 1969. The US landed 2 men on the Moon 5 months after that.
So, no, there was absolutely no chance at all of that happening.
Let's talk about what it is that you're afraid of.
Non sequitur. As long as there have been kids getting born and raised, there have been kids getting born and raised in transit. That's neither a reason for not having the kids, nor for not making the trip.
What bothers me about you self-appointed anti-space-nutter crusaders:
1. I don't see any space nutters. I see some people who are interested in space travel the way some folks like you are interested in pro sports and pr0n.
2. Your arguments all boil down to "I'm afraid to do this; therefore, you should be forbidden from doing it." Now that is fucked up.
Force long-time remote workers to choose between moving to another city where they can actually come into an office and losing their jobs.
So, what do I win?
Bingo. One of the Web's biggest problems has always been "it's just like print" types who create static layouts that fit only within the biggest screen they can lay hold of, and the rest of the world be damned.
Yes, but as I observed here on
(Unrelated: Apparently all my posts made prior to 01 September 2013 have disappeared. WTF?)
No, I'm pretty sure he means Ubik.
The language used obscures rather than educates and informs.
Sounds like another big win for Marketing.
You should try actually being a "guest worker" in another country sometime. Then maybe you'd see how completely full of crap you are.

Referring to state crony capitalism as "socialism" does not make it that.
The current setup in China is more accurately described as "Fascism-Lite".
Anything free is worth what you pay for it.
