Watch out, they may have accidentally reactivated your account and you are being charged for something. your only warning will be a credit collections company contacting you.

It was a very common thing back in 2006 that Comcast did to customers that successfully cancelled their service.

Yes I moved all holy relics away from the modem... No it's still a red blinking light. Yes I'll wait....

They fired most of the technicians and now 90% are subcontractors to get around most of the labor laws. Around here the guys that do Comcast have a magnetic sign on their rust bucket and will swap out for Dish when they go to that next job. They barely train these guys and they pay them a flat rate per job so they want to be in and out as fast as possible many times half assing it because they average out to being paid less than $7.00 an hour on most jobs.

I had a Palm IIIe and the NiMH batteries I used in it lasted roughly a week or two depending on how heavily I used the backlight. But these were the old school NiMH that would be dead after a couple of weeks even when they weren't plugged into anything. Alkaline batteries lasted a crazy long time, like a month or more. I was a pretty heavy user of the device as well, using it to read e-books on the bus every day, playing games, and taking notes.

I like the part where they are magically going to make OCR work via the camera on a cellphone.

Windows Phone already does that though, you hit the search button, choose eye, point it at something, choose scan text, it highlights all the text at which point you can either choose copy, search, or translate. If you translate it will overlay the translated text on the image in your chosen language.

What about errors? We are talking OCR here, which never worked great on scanners, so how is it going to work better via cameras?

So please tell me how this is any different?
