Ain't gonna happen. The congressional rats want it, sure, but I guarantee you Obama doesn't give two shits about it. Looks like the perfect way to keep House Dems and the righty fringe busy and mushroomed.

  • On change.gov [change.gov] ... but that would require taking time doing something about it.

    You can apply for jobs there too - I think they need people to root out embedded neocons ...

  • The only value in discussing the Fairness Doctrine that I can see is drawing attention away from other policy (e.g. bailouts) that The Most Ethical Congress in History wishes to remain obscure.
    For every bit of value they'd gain in enacting such steaming legislation, they'd galvanize the opposition twice as much. Why?

      Those damned bailouts are a particularly sore spot with me. besides the concept of doing away with welfare for the poor with the 1996 "reform" act and instead giving welfare to the rich, they're bailing out the industry that's ruined the economy.

      My mortgage payment tripled. I'm broke all the time now. That's money the computer parts place doesn't get (my main PC's still busted), money the grocer doesn't get, money the liquor stores and bars don't get, because the God damned banker gets it instead.
