Except those prosecutors were fired for refusing to do their job prosecuting voter fraud cases.

That article is from 2007, and seems to lack many details surrounding this case. I googled up this timeline ( http://www.sourcewatch.org/index.php?title=Bush_administration_U.S._attorney_firings_controversy ) that seems largely comprised of dates, direct quotes and similar facts. I see a very different story here. For example:

On March 26, 2007, Monica Goodling, the senior counselor to Gonzales and Department of Justice liaison to the White House who was on an "indefinite leave of absence," refused to testify before the Senate Judiciary Committee. Goodling threatened to invoke her Fifth Amendment rights to not incriminate herself

Your quote implies the fired attorneys were dismissed for wrongdoing, but the facts do not appear to support that supposition.

This is Slashdot, so I clearly didn't actually read the article. Complaining about the average being in the middle, IN A FIELD WHERE THE CORRECT METHOD TO FIND THE AVERAGE IS THE MEDIAN, is stupid. My complaint was more about jamie than about airplane pilots. I'm glad that an editor on this site can cite Michael Moore in a conversation, then complain someone you're debating against has a selection bias. That really improves the quality of this site.

Hell, with the exception of that auto-SMS feature (which is awesome, by the way... I gotta find a way to do that) and the scripting, all my WinMo phones have been able to do these things... I was under the impression that only dumb phones still locked you in (i.e. only carrier-approved themes, ringtones, backgrounds and crap like that).

The other 20% are often more fun to read due to the humor of the translation. They have a way to go before this will be a reliable "ready for prime time" service.

As to why I want to compel you to pay for some elses health care it's the same reason I'd be happy to pay for your health care if some drunk hits your car and you become a quadriplegic which bankrupts you and you are unable to personally pay for the care you need.

If you could deny care at ER's based on ability to pay then maybe your way would work but that's not a morality I subscribe to.

Irrelevant. It could still be 3rd party drivers. And yes, it could be the hardware, although its not likely. Unless this computer is on Microsofts Hardware Compatibility List for Windows 7 then its absurd to blame microsoft if it doesn't work.

There are lots of computers out there that will run xp but not 7. That's not a flaw of 7. There's a lot of computers out there than run OS X 10.2 but won't run Snow Leopard. That doesn't make Snow Leopard defective either.

It gets so slow that the connection is unstable and wont load web pages at some stages during the weekend. They are not struggling with load froma special one off event or anything. Their network is under standard loading conditions. You did read the part about 0.2mbit? Every sunday afternoon this happens between 2pm and 6pm like clockwork. For your information the line sync at around 17mbit :) The conenction should be a 20:1 contention service. That contention should be based on the "up to 24mbit" (yes this could be argued) I should get min speed of 2.2mbit. Where as in the real world it has a contention of 120:1 If you phone provider cut your sampling rate to 1000khz from what it is normaly (8000khz or something) this would be ok to? But do it every day during the day when you have to talk to other people on the phone. Would normal people stand for it? The isp's in the UK like to dig a whole for themselves. Now the end users are simply pushing them into it because they are actually using what they are paying for (well trying to) :)

Cows don't eat much grass. At least not in northern Europe. They eat mostly concentrates made from soy. The soy is grown in south America and shipped to the farmer in Europe where the cows eat them. I don't know what the grass/concentrates ratio for cows, but in Norway goats eat 50% concentrates. And goats eats the least amount of concentrates of the eat farm animals. Beef is thus made mainly from concentrates from south America where they cut down the rain forest to grow soy.
