Long story short, I've been reading up about this topic lately and can suggest a few easily accessible resources for anyone who wants to learn a bit more:
Food Inc. - A decent documentary to get you started.
The Omnivores Dilemma - An easy read that can point in the right direction for further research.

In other words, perhaps their attention is more or less permanently divided between driving and a Walter Mitty like daydream. Then the phone distracts them from their daydream. That would imply that their driving performance doesn't decline because even when not distracted they drive like the rest of us would while on the phone.
TFA doesn't have enough information to know if the analysis considered that or not, it only spoke of relative performance for each individual.

Oh, the irony of the porn industry being the only part of the moviemaking establishment that happily embraces the new tech. MPAA guys, are you paying attention? Piling on even more DRM and legislation won't solve your problems because we'll just watch more porn instead.

You can use parts of it under the Fair Use. A small clip, quote, some screen shots. It is getting less and less, and now days teachers are advised not to make copies of things because they fear legal recourse even though it is legal.
But if they have no idea how much you downloaded (if anything at all), it seams a reasonable defense if done right.(IANAL)
