Submission + - Carbon Sequestering with Clams
trout007 writes: "My company has been in the clam farming business for many years now. We realized that our clams are taking the CO2 out of the atmosphere and locking it up into their shells. We have decided to expand our business into the Carbon Sequestering Market. Our business plan is to find people that can invest $1000 in capital to sequester 1 ton of CO2. That $1000 will pay for the seed clams and labor to plant them in our lease in the Indian River, Florida. When we harvest the clams 2 years later and sell the clams at market the investors will get back their investment plus $200. So they can lead a carbon neutral live AND make money doing it. As a /.er I thought I'd write to see what people here thought about it.
Our webpage has information on how the process works.
