Your thought process still puzzles me. Erosion is an amazingly powerful force. It may be slow, but once the Appalachians were taller than the Himalayas, and there used to be a tall range of mountains in the middle of Africa where today there is only veld. Soft matter such as rotting roots erodes much faster than rocks, just ask any farmer. At the time scale of continent building the dinosaurs were around the day before yesterday.

I'm sure the Germans and Finns will be very sympathetic.

There are also no 'leave the euro' rules. As the law stands you are all stuck with it. But he who has the gold makes the rules. You're fucked.

Your government loans are at below market interest. Because the lenders know the rest of the euro zone is (sort of) guaranteeing your debt. Greece is not credit worthy on its own.

The only thing that has protected you so far is the others that will be knocked down when you default. But they are getting their shit together. Once Iceland, Italy and Spain can take the shock of Greece falling on it's face, Greece will allowed to fall.

There is plenty of Argentine pesos outside Argentina.

Whenever the government is confiscating capital (via 30% exchange taxes) connected insiders still get the black/open market rate. If you have Argentine pesos in NYC what is the exchange rate? That's the rate the families of Argentine government officials get.

Why anybody would keep value in that currency is beyond me, but some do.

Printing money also leads to financial crisis. When every nation does it at the same time it's a waking nightmare. The tide will go out, everybody will be revealed to be naked. The money printers will blame it on 'evil capitalism' and attempt to take even more power.

When I worked for old school companies my managers LOVED me.

Why? Because they had to be paid as much or more than me. So every time I _extorted_ the big boss for more money, they got a raise too.

I really didn't appreciate when they told the rest of the team I had taken the entire 'raise budget'. They really didn't appreciate when I told the rest of the team I had taken 150% of the 'raise budget' and they should all grow a pair.

Salary caps? That's what is know as 'a wish'. They wish to keep your salary below that number. Let them wish into one hand and shit into the other...

Companies that fire 10% per year are idiots (the whole place starts politicking the system) but to think that an occasional house cleaning isn't needed is foolish.

The first 'fire 10%' is an opportunity.

Optical sensors on most other smart watches don't have any problem, since they actually did some research and learned from other manufacturers that green LEDs are blocked. Some other colors seem fine, but a different sensor probably would have cost Apple an extra $0.45 per watch so they just ignored that inconvenient fact and assumed that the fanbois would buy it anyway. They're probably right.

It's the color of LED that they use in the sensors. This has been a known issue since the FitBit hit the market with green LEDs a couple of years ago. Other smart watch vendors, like Samsung, learned the lesson and used other colors so have no problem. Apple, being Apple, seems to have decided that they were somehow "pioneers" in this market and didn't bother to do any actual research on what works for existing devices.

Was at a party one time where a skinhead was showing off his new eagle tat on his shaved head. When asked why he chose there he rather smugly said, "When I want to have kids and get a better job I can just grow my hair and no one will know." An acquaintance nearby started laughing hysterically, and when she calmed down enough to talk she said, "You idiot, both your grandfathers are bald and started losing their hair in their thirties. It's hereditary."
