The Recording Industry Association of America has upped its campaign against N.C. State students downloading music with 23 lawsuits.(1) Originally, the RIAA was only sending letters regarding a settlement students could pay to avoid legal action. 'm sure we're about to see years of commentary on the shooting that happened today at Virginia Tech. 32 people are dead, because of one murderer who (by current reports) was armed with a couple of handguns.

1) A comparable attack happened at a law school in Virginia in 2002; the killer was stopped when 2 other students retrieved a handgun and subdued him.

Jack Thompson is currently on Fox News blaming video games for the tragedy at Virginia Tech.

Jack said that it would be impossible to carry out a massacre of this proportion without training, and that he was sure when they examined the shooters computer, that "training" program like GTA would be find.
