And SMS is the most reliable because it involves the voice signaling channel and telephone companies are more or less required to reliably deliver them.

Not with newer phones; Verizon's new model phones all deliver SMS via the data network. That's why your texts are sent so much faster than they used to be, the phone doesn't have to deal with contention to secure a channel on the voice network just to send 140 bytes. Voice is going there too, see VoLTE. Eventually it's all just going to be packets. The carrier's voice and SMS services will get special QoS treatment but that's the only thing that will be special about them.

It's not an "idea", it is genetics that you are intolerant of. And the bigotry is based on intolerance against specific genetics. And boo on you if you don't like it, that's just the way it is. Analysis and reason is fruitless when confronted with tribalism and instinct. Just not worth my time. Besides, I am more easily humored by watching you play dumb.

The unintentional hilarity of YOUR shiny, new, fascist tribalism is its nihilistic inability to perpetuate hooey, but not the tribe itself.

Journal Journal: I don't understand this Google vs. Oracle thing

For the life of me, I do not understand why Google doesn't just ship an ARM64 build of OpenJDK instead of futzing around with this fight against Oracle. From a pure developer's perspective, the whole thing is flat out STUPID.

Oracle is not preventing Google from shipping their own build of the JDK. They're just stopping them from breaking Java's portability requirement by shipping non-Java bytecode.

Java is not a compiler kit.

I hope you can understand that you're leaving yourself wide open for fascism here.
The real issues involve power and money, of course. No one quite seems to grasp that, if there was not so much societal sculpture afoot via the tax code, we could all just do our thing much more in peace.
But try to share some real analysis, and get called a troll, or worse. What are you going to do?

Similarly, I'm not sure how meaningful the measurement of 900 million gmail accounts is; I have more than one myself.
