The problem is that Kickstarter allows projects that are very obviously doomed to failure and doesn't act when it is pointed out. They should protect naÃve investors.

There was one recently for an AA battery that can be recharged in 30 seconds. It's basically a capacitor and regulator. People pointed out that at the $20 price point he set for one he couldn't buy any available capacitor that meet his claim of 1100mAh. Worse, he would need to charge at over 150A to get the time down to 30 seconds.

He flapped around, eventually found some surplus 150A power supplies and intends to ship them with the batteries for $20. Some people will probably burn their houses down since he can't possibly afford a descent connector.

People pointed all this out and Kickstarter did nothing. Other projects defy the known laws of physics, or don't even make sense (did you see the "internet battery"?)

Even eBay tries harder to shut down scams and sellers who are clueless.

Actually the Android implementation is rather good. Samsung tried to do their own thing which had some issues, but then switched to the stock driver and now all is well.

The system works well not just with computers but also with things like car head units and printers. You can plug in and print directly from your phone just like a camera. No special extra expensive iPrinter required.

I'll take it over the abomination that is iTunes any day.

Are you kidding? The iPhone is a fashion accessory to many, and not having one is the equivalent of not wearing Prada when all the cool kids are. It's the hipster clique phone, for people who think different and are not part of the herd.

There are more Android devices to choose from. Choice is good for consumers, but means that individual models can't hit Apple's numbers.

Who cares anyway? This is a bizarre pissing contest if ever I saw one. Millions of people watch reality TV, that doesn't make it good.

The iPhone is faster in artificial benchmarks but if you compare real world performance like opening apps or app switching it's slower. It was the same with the Nexus 5 and iPhone 5S.

There ate plenty of videos on YouTube demonstrating this.

It's climate change because some morons look out the window, see that it's cold today and decide that global warming must be fake.

While the global climate is warming, the effect locally at any given time may not be warming. It sometimes causes more extreme weather, including cold. Hence, climate change.

You need training and evaluation to go to the ISS though, if only to make sure you don't go nuts and push all the buttons. What Virgin offers is more like a normal flight, where the damage you can do is fairly minimal and the only training needed is an annoying video.

I think I know what the problem is. I've seen iOS developers who want to develop exactly the same way on android, and they always fail. They are used to targeting specific resolutions and fixed hardware, unlike say Windows or Mac developers who know how to do portable, flexible apps.

At work I had problems with this on the past. We had to switch to a different developer who had no trouble, even though we were using Bluetooth extensively.

Don't worry about malware. It's just FUD. Unless you go out of your way to be a complete moron, turning on the ability to install apps from anywhere and then downloading from some dodgy web site that should itself set of alarm bells in your head there isn't anything to worry about. Well, no more so than iOS.

Interestingly it's usability I find most lacking on iOS. The lack of an app tray, until recently the keyboard, the very basic notification shade etc. Each to his own I suppose.
