Will I be able to get an HTML5 video blocker to do what the Flashblock plugin currently does? I'd hate to go back to the days when multiple YouTube browser tabs all started playing as soon as the pages loaded. My DVD player doesn't start playing a disc when I turn the power on - why should a web page start playing the video as soon as it loads?

How exactly would raising funds for his political campaign help him personally?

He can donate the money to his Rand PAC (http://www.randpac.com/) or just let it sit there for future elections. He becomes more influential by virtue of that money. He can use it to generate support for a bid for certain Senate committee positions. When you have money to distribute to other political purposes, you have the juice that creates power. Most important, he can do what his father did and just make personal money by selling his campaign donor mailing list.

Did you know even retired politicians can keep their campaign fundraising going? They can keep fundraising even after retired and can use that money for other politicians political purposes.

As for GTA, violence against both sexes is equally bad. However, there is a problem with violence against prostitutes in real life, and it's fine for people to be upset about that. It doesn't mean they don't care about violence against men, which is also a huge problem, it just means they identified a specific issue to tackle. I don't know why that is so hard to understand.

As for GoT, the guy is clearly evil, period. Both acts were sex crimes, and if we are making a comparison it seems like mental and physical torture over a period of years is the greater crime.

You don't need a licence just to own a TV. You only need one if you watch live TV. Simply watch recordings on iPlayer and other streaming services and you don't need a TV licence.

As a bonus if you don't have one the TV licencing authority will send you a free supply of kindling every month, in handy paper format. There might be some vague threats printed on it, but you can ignore those.

Where are you?

Currently in the UK it isn't easy for developers. There is a lot of downward pressure on wages, and insane house prices make relocating difficult. The possible exit from the EU has thrown things up in the air too, with my own company already seeing European customers hold off until they know what is happening.

Wages have only just reached 2008 levels again, but growth is very slow. For older developers it's hard to convince employers to meet your needs.

Charging at petrol stations isn't very practical. The best thing about EV charging is that you don't have to go out if your way. Charge at home or work, or at your destination. Shopping centres and car parks are where you need chargers, and they can be fairly slow 7kW ones too so infrastructure is less of an issue.

The only problem with this story is that pandering to "bitcoin dudebros" is widely known to not be a way to electoral success, and if Paul is really just a shrewd grifter that you paint him, he knows that, as well.

Paul doesn't expect electoral success at the Presidential level. He expects fund-raising success.

Think for a minute of all the presidential candidates who know they're not going to win the nomination, but realize that a lucrative donor list is the next best thing. Rand Paul is one of those. He's building a nice packet for the future.

No. The contractual clause assigning copyright is not something that has to do with responsibilities of a party. If the school can prove they have the copyright as a result of a student doing something during school time then the discussion moves from one of contractual obligations to one of breach of copyright law. And in America of all places we've proven that you don't need to be over 18 to breach copyright law.
