It's racist to assume that "whitelist" and "blacklist" could be connected to skin color. It's racist to assume that "slave" and "master" need to be removed, because slavery has occurred pretty much in all societies for all of known history, and it's been white with black slaves, black with white slaves, white with white slaves, or black with black slaves, etc. etc. And today, slavery is mostly a problem in Africa.

How many people does the game industry, maybe only in the US, employ now? How are start-ups and small studios faring? It's a collectivist ideology that seems society as an organism, with government as the "head," and to paraphrase a famous fascist, everything is within the State, period. No one has rights, only the collective has "rights," and the only thing that matters is the health and progress of the collective. Business is run by councils of what can generally be called stakeholders, and production is centrally planned. Megaprojects are a common propaganda method to show the strength and virility of the nation. Obviously the media is government-run, or at least fully directed by, and dissent is minimized, by either intimidation or outright violence. Now, who is most like that in America today?

There's no equivalence. In one instance you have companies that have root access that have used it for the purposes of espionage, and the gay thing maybe blackmail? Although if you're dumb enough to use dick pics... Very differently, Facebook, etc., you have normal user accounts saying stuff and things, but not running spy ops, at least not beyond seeing who twats what.
