And I *do* mean guesses, because there are a few (19, including myself) folks that I know for sure, and I'm not going to give them away. So all of these are guesses, educated or not, and mostly completely random, since there are so many folks I've never heard of before. And for those of you I *have* heard of, I'm sorry for not being able to guess better. I feel like I should be able to recognize you on sight, but that's just not happening.

  • I completely agree with everything except I switch Koria w/ Slashchick
  • ...but I know he isn't me. I don't do beards, mustaches, or glasses. (Closest I get to any of that is if I skip shaving for one day on a weekend, and that's not even long enough to get the Don Johnson look going.)

    Having met nobody here IRL and being somewhat on the periphery of the journal circle, I'd have a hard time putting names to faces. If I were to hazard a guess on anybody, I'd say that SolemnDragon might be #84. I was going to guess that you were either #4 or #50, but your post ruled those out

      • this is what i usually say to people about sielwolf. he looks like he just stepped out of the pages of a jcrew catalog... but then when you spend... oh i dunno... 3 minutes talking to him... you begin to understand. he's completely twisted, a touch psychotic and without a doubt one of the most painfully smart people on the planet... he makes you feel completely dumb, about everything.

        but on top of all that... he's probably one of the finest, most up standing young gents to grace our world.

    I'm not acknowledging or denying that the long haired computer geek in that photo is me.

    I guessed the "Robin" person for Slashchick, because the nose looks the same as her photo in the last contest. Only one of the camwhores (#50 :^) has a guess from me at this point.
    • I think that "Robin" is Ra5pu7in. I have SlashChick and dexterpexter for 65 and 104, but I'm not sure which is which. Yeah, that #50 is something else again. :-)

    Other than that, I agree with all of your guesses, except for the ones that are wrong.

    • The baby in #73a bears a very suspicious resemblance to the baby (who is clearly in charge) in #27. Who is this child, and how does he dominate those around him so easily? Then there is the fact that #73 is taken in the US, while #73a appears to be in Europe. Perhaps 73 is the baby's secret agent, making the encounter in #73a a clever attempt to hide the evidence of an international conspiracy in plain sight!!!

    Hmmmm. Could be. I can't read the label on the bottle of washing up liquid, but the kitchen has a vaguely nordic feel to it. For some reason, that is not at all how I pictured tuxette. I didn't really have a firm idea of what she looked like, just... not like that!

  • I am much less comfortable in my first pic than #31 looks.
    • #13 is not me either. I'm not quite that uncomfortable, and I have the *ability* to grow much more hair than the guy who is #13. In some of my pics I have more hair than #13. In another, much less.

  • Look for Tetsu-ko. Note that this is NOT an anime reference. One has to have read the correct book. And googling probably will not help, as only two of the first 100 hits are helpful, and a different two are relevant.
  • ...but I will say I'm not 91. :) You might remember me from such great /. episodes before the election that were pretty stronlgy anti-repubian, anti-libtian and probably pretty pro liberale. :) For those who know a little more about me, you know that I'm not a troll. :)

      • Hehehe. Nope. Not 60. I only have one Windows XP box at home out of 12 machines and it's booted into RedHat 9 most of the time. Think. I have a new kid (less than a year old), and I have a stronger artistic side that just happens to use Bash, Perl and *nix for making music and working on photograps/graphics.

  • I *never* wear a jacket and tie except to funerals, weddings, and other special events. In my photo I am dressed down from that considerably. I will say, though, that 74's tie is nice - I have one that is similar to it.

    So far, you're the only one I have found that has tried to guess which one is me. Smiley-face sticker for you! :-)

  • Bzzzzzzzzzzz! I have changed my physical appearance such that the goatee is no longer a clue.

    Here is a hint for ya..... Of the several photos I submitted, none include me in any formal, semi-formal or even remotely "office like" clothing.
