According to an Article in AppleInsider, Apple has begun manufacturing its A16 SoC at the newly-opened tsmc Fab Facility in Arizona, USA.
According to sources of Tim Culpan, Phase 1 of TSMC's Fab 21 in Arizona is making the A16 SoC of the iPhone 14 Pro in "small, but significant, numbers. The production is largely a test for the facility at this stage, but more production is expected in the coming months.
The volume will ramp up massively once the second stage of the Phase 1 fab actually concludes. If everything stays on schedule, the Arizona plant will hit a target for production sometime in the first half of 2025.
Sources say TSMC is achieving yields that are marginally behind those of Taiwan-based factories. Yield parity is expected to happen within months.
TSMC has also raised its investment and moved to build additional plants in Arizona, with three set to be constructed in total. The U.S. Commerce Department previously claimed this will create 6,000 direct manufacturing jobs, on top of an estimated 20,000 construction jobs.

According to an Article on Appleinsider:
Apple has clarified the situation with the WordPress iOS app, apologizing for the mistake of blocking developer updates to the app until they added in-app purchases, despite the app not including any functionality involving payments.
On Friday, it was reported the lack of app updates for the WordPress app were due to it being "locked" on the App Store. After three weeks of absence, developers of the app had agreed to implement some form of in-app purchase to the app to enable updates to go through again, among other possible solutions.
In a statement provided to AppleInsider on Saturday, Apple claims the issue with the app has been "resolved" overnight.
"Since the developer removed the display of their service payment options from the app, it is now a free stand-alone app and does not have to offer in-app purchases," states Apple. "We have informed the developer and apologize for any confusion that we have caused."

According to an article in MacRumors, Apple is helping offset increased costs incurred by their third-party Authorized Repair Shops due to the Covid-19 forced-closures and other related Covid-related expenses, such as cleaning supplies and personal protective equipment.
The reimbursements will come in the form of increased payouts for repairs, and have been made retroactive, and will remain in effect depending on each country's (and I assume localities') Stay-at-Home orders.
And for those who don't think such things exist, the article included a handy guide (albeit with a little digging) to Apple's Authorized Third-Party Repair Shops.

Gizmodo reports the following sad news:
Tech pioneer Vint Cerf, one of the co-creators of the modern internet, has tested positive for covid-19, according to a tweet Cerf sent out Monday morning.
The 76-year-old tweeted out a clip from HBOâ(TM)s Last Week Tonight with John Oliver about the U.S. response to the global pandemic.
âoeI tested positive for COVID-19 and am recovering,â Cerf tweeted. âoeListen to what John Oliver has to say about our national response so far.â
Cerf helped create the modern internet in the 1970s while working at UCLA with other pioneers like Bob Kahn and Leonard Kleinrock. Cerf worked on packet switching for the APRANET under Kleinrock and TCP/IP protocols with ARPA (now DARPA), the plumbing that makes the internet function.
DARPA tweeted its support of Cerf, telling him to get well soon.
