Submission + - SPAM: Bank of the people, local government bank.

Exception Duck writes: This sounds like a great idea too me, coming from a country where the banks have pretty much ruined everything — and we have had to bail them out. How about power to the people again. Screw the bankers, and nationalize it (this case ownership in the hands of the city). I've haven't read similiar stories but they don't go to load — can imagine it's not to popular with the powers that be. Anyone have any experience of this from their local government ?

as much as I like getting the newest ${tvshow} I don't think this is a good way to go about it.

I am sure most people here are aware that the pirate bay is facilitating copyright violations, sure you might call it something else, same thing as google does ble ble ble.

This kind of misuse could seriously hurt the Swedish parliament...

Sometimes changing things from within is the best way. I think it's fair to say more communication with the outside world will have a more positive effect than just ignoring them completely (or bombing them, but since they don't have oil, I don't see that happening).
