posting alot of messages is one thing, but I dont see how you know your message count. What you should be concerned about is not that you posted 4700 times. But that you KNOW how many you posted. Or maybe I just dont see the option.

    Quite the statement to make with your 4700th post. Actually, I can see the numbers on any user's info page too, (this is my 2768th comment), so it's not a subscriber perk. I'm guessing JVert doesn't go to the user info pages ever.

I just post once in a while these days. I've said my peace on the many usual /. topics once and that was enough for me. Actually many times when I feel like posting I'll hit the reply button and write a sentence or two in response and then think to myself, "I really don't care about this at all, why am I posting?" and then stop posting and go to another website.

Now frequency of posts, that would be a really interesting stat.

Maybe some kind of mathematical relationship between the # of posts & a user's id # (assuming that numbers are assigned linearly, and never recycled, that is). Or # of posts as a function of the date of the first post (I'm not a subscriber, so I know I don't have that info, even about myself, but maybe subscribers do?)
