It's true. I don't understand the story. An emerging technology with no proven record and actually does cost a huge amount to do something no one knows they even want only gets awarded 4.7% of the available spectrum range, and we're supposed to be outraged? They were given what they needed! How in the holy hell is this impeding progress?

(As well as what everyone else said about miniaturization and batteries and whatnot)

yeah, I'm all over the conservative/liberal spectrum depending on the issue, but I am getting tired of the GOP's "no matter what happens, party first, everything our guys do is great and we all support it" and the weird adherence they have to lower taxes will lead to more jobs and then higher tax revenues and you don't really need privacy and by that we mean everything you do should be tracked and monetized.

I think they're probably just trying to deflect some complaints about how easy it is to get dirty. I've had a Surface Pro 3 for almost two years and the keyboard was filthy in a couple months. I'm not a dirty person and I wiped off anything that spilled but it's more just general dirt and dust and being in the world.

I'm a huge Microsoft fan (I have a Windows tattoo) but they fucked up when they chose whatever fabric this is.

OMG, thank you for letting me know about all the amazing health benefits of salt lamps, I had no idea! Hygroscopy? Reduction of EMR? Reduces coughing and asthma? Awesome!

And duh, juicing is super beneficial because liquid forms of fruits and vegetables are obviously better than solid, because science.

(And FYI I also ask Alexa for Dragon Force and They Might Be Giants and Fallout Boy and Explosions in the Sky and Alice in Chains and all kinds of other garbage, so...)

Why is there all this hate against the Echo? I got one about 2 months ago an I quite like it. "Alexa play NPR" "Alexa play rain sounds" "Alexa play empty by metric"

What I've had a lot of fun with is I got some of those Hue wifi lightbulbs and I tell her to turn them on or off or 60% or whatever. The pull chain for the light in the living room was broken and I like to keep the fan on so I grabbed those and an Echo and it actually is more convenient than a switch. (Wasteful yes, but fun)

I couple of years ago I worked at a place that has an automatic converter from COBOL to C#/VB.Net (followed by an insane amount of testing and fixes to the converter/custom fixes for their code) and we handled all kinds of businesses including banks (I got to spend three weeks in Belgium helping out on the ING project). So people are already doing this.

(FYI, the company is Asysco)

It should be a two tier system. Click thumbs-up / thumbs-down, then pick a star rating. So you can mark it as "remember this, also remember a general bad/good" then say how much you actually liked it.

What makes me mad about Pandora is I can't mark "remember this" without changing the recommended songs given to me. I don't want to change my channel, I just want to be able to listen to it later.
