The fifth and newest Harry Potter game, "The Order of the Phoenix," came out last week. The PC version of the fourth game was so abysmally bad http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/customer-reviews/ B0009YJM9W/ref=cm_cr_dp_all_top/002-5384247-022723 7?ie=UTF8&n=468642&s=videogames#customerReviews I hesitated to buy this new one, but my kids want to try it so I went searching. It turns out that "Phoenix" is DVD-Rom only http://www.ea.com/harrypotterandtheorderofthephoen ix/features.jsp?platform=pc&ncc=1 and our household PCs have only CD players! Our whole family prefers games on PCs, so I'm not about to buy a video console. And I'm certainly not going to buy new computers or DVD-Rom drives just so that we can play one single game that probably will suck anyway. What are these game manufacturers thinking? Given the short shrift they seem to be giving PC games, is it time to declare the official death of PC-version games? And most importantly, since EA Games won't let me buy this one, where should I download a CD-Rom version for free off the Internet?
