Not officially. In most places here, you need a permit to let rooms to 3 or more people in a single property. And when the permits are issued, they don't just take fire safety concerns into consideration, but also livability, impact on the block and the neighborhood, noise issues, available parking and so on. I don't think they get issued when tenants don't get their own room at least.

Solution: don't apply for the permit and just let the place. Works especially well if its your own workers you're housing, not an uncommon arrangement even if it's highly illegal.

This is a lot like the extortionate (and illegal) type of housing we've had here in the Netherlands: 10-14 migrant workers sharing a smallish apartment. The main difference is that these pods look a little more stylish than the bunk beds in our workers' flop houses. Oh, and the migrant workers aren't here for "AI"...

As a former landlord, this pisses me off. We've kept our properties in order and charged reasonable rents, and most of the other landlords I know do the same. But when people think of landlords, they think of this. And demand (and got) more legislation and extra taxes (which is why I am a landlord no more).

It's hard to argue with repeated, ubiquitous video evidence of criminality, and then tacit if not explicit endorsement by political leaders as long as it's aligned with their particular dogma.

Yes, violent crime has been falling widely and persistently. And yes, certain events get escalated by media more interested in being inflammatory than factual (Cf George Floyd, if you need an example - or did you agree with that one, so it's true?).

Then again, neither are people stupid. Things have changed over the last 10 years and not for the better.
Are you asserting that people broadly ransacking stores isn't new? That the - daily - new video evidence of some store being looted, or widespread closures in our inner cities are FoxNews propaganda?

So ... no. "Most people" post on social media about how they are "taking a break" from social media, lol.

Germany is now buying American natural gas that was previously flared and wasted. This is a great benefit to both Germany and the world, as Russian natural gas stays in the ground where it belongs, depriving butcher Putin of the funds he needs to continue his war of aggression in Ukraine. American natural gas is more expensive to move over the ocean but the good news is that Germany runs a massive trade surplus with the USA and can easily afford it. It moves the needle towards where it should be, in the middle, making trade equally beneficial to both sides. Adam Smith would be proud.

They could spend the money on support. I deal with their enterprise people all the time and Apple's every policy is literally to put the onus for any and all work on you and only you.

They admit fault only when absolutely backed in to a corner and even then frequently with gaslighting saying shit has always been that way what do you mean.

They do not talk to themselves at all. All departments are siloed from each other and they want it to be your job to bounce around between them. I have had employees call me from their personal phones to talk off the record about how bad it is internally this way and so major systemic issues go unaddressed.

Overall, Apple are some of the tightest stingiest asshats I've ever dealt with in my entire life, wasting months of back and forth and hours and hours on the phone and emails because they refuse to replace a single device out of many thousands (the issue being the result once again of their Brazil levels of internal bureaucracy). I have never given Apple a penny personally and I hope to keep it that way.
