Tornado Cash Co-Founder Storm Guilty in Crypto Mixing Case 8
A Manhattan jury convicted Tornado Cash co-founder Roman Storm on Wednesday of conspiring to operate an unlicensed money-transfer business, though jurors deadlocked on charges of money laundering conspiracy and sanctions violations after three days of deliberation.
Federal prosecutors alleged Storm helped cybercriminals launder more than $1 billion through the cryptocurrency mixing platform, which launched in 2019 as a decentralized protocol designed to obscure transaction origins by pooling and redistributing funds through smart contracts.

Note, it also works the other way around. Cash Tornado creating a company called Roman Storm is just as bad.

Well, they did release a new Fantastic 4 movie recently featuring Sue and Johnny Storm. Maybe he's their devilish cousin.
Anyhow, the company's other co-founders are a second Roman and Aleksey, both also under criminal investigation.

I just wish I'd died before these idiots put somebody back corrupt in charge. I get the really dumb ones like my old neighbor who thought they were patriotic. Propaganda is a hell of a thing. But I don't believe for a second anyone left here on this forum is that stupid. I once heard a Trump voter say something similar during Trump's first term on one of the many occasions on which Trumpkins had to take their lumps for Trump, IIRC his exact words were "He's hurting COMPLETELY the wrong people." Pretty sure he voted for Trump a second time anyway though.
Another major factor to consider is the Trumpkins' fantastical, figuratively or even literally demonized misconception of Democrats. They believe that whoever Trump's going up against is, at minimum, an actual socialist who will confiscate all their guns. And the more unhinged types may believe his opponent is also a secret revolutionary communist, an Islamist Sharia supporter, a secret elite pedophile ring insider (not Jeff's BFF though!), or even an actual supernatural demon who smells like sulfur up close. Once someone's critical thinking and fact-checking ability is low enough to fall for such nonsense, it's easy to paint something they were already inclined to support as a better option.
