Summary: It is a good service, reasonably priced. The individual service engineer with whom i finally made contact and who was finally able to assist me, was excellent. But your overall service leaves a great deal to be desired. You came very close to losing me as a customer, which would have been a shame, because i am generally happy with having this calling option. It is a big asset for me.
Positive: Having a phone number in the states from which i can initiate and receive calls is a major plus for me. The calls are usually clear, good quality. and when you can get hold of a person when you need service, they are accommodating, patient and helpful. (thank you, Shazia!) the pricing is also reasonable.
Negative: The general service is less than adequate. First, you did something to your system that caused me to have to reset my password.... then made it frustratingly impossible for me to actually do it. And your shortage of service staff resulted in my being without my line for a long time.

Consistently good customer service Date: Feb 11 2022
Summary: Even when I have issues, they make it works and/or educate me when I need help. I have been using Sonetel for 7+ years and although I sometimes try other providers, I always come back to Sonetel.
Positive: In no certain order: 1.) It just works; 2.) very reasonable costs; 3.) when there are issues, the customer service is prompt, consistent, and they actually make an effort to help. (this is a little bit rare in today's society)
Negative: The mobile phone apps are still "quirky". Sometimes the old Sonetel app works better than the Sonetel 2 app (like when downloading address books).

Summary: The overall experience has been great. The service offered is amazing and cheap and makes my work easier.
Positive: The product is very easy to use. Sonetel provides the best rates in the market. The customer service is great! I was facing issues with outgoing calls and a service rep, Abdul M, solved my issues within 4 minutes.
Negative: Everything is great but it can have a better UI.

Summary: My overall experience was a little frustrating as my verification items were rejected twice. Not until I sent an email asking why my items were specifically rejected did I understand what was specifically needed.

Confused based on need for documentation & validations in beginning.
Further confusion when a different number is being used than the one I have purchased?Positive: What appeared to be an easy & straightforward implementation.
Web based record system seems well constructed.Negative: Lack of definition & still not convinced is solution intended for US users as global call forwarding is not supported. i.e. US caller could not use number as was intended to reach NZ recipient.

Summary: I am impressed of Sonetel, that have been a top-notch tech company for so many years, miles ahead of all competitors.
More private persons and businesses should try Sonetel, so they also can experience how much better they really are.
I have profited enormously from using Sonetel. I wish the same for all others.Positive: I have several years of experience of Sonetel as private person and now as employed in a danish company (HEJK - Reg. Soc.ec. Org., VAT DK 40511431).
It have always been a pleasure to contact Sonetel. They quickly solve the obsticles I have had over the years. Lately I have installed their smart chat app on our website, www.netmea.com, with greate succes.
And also telephone services, that really save time for us. It makes it possible to handle many customers without too much personnel.Negative: I have earlier been a bit confused, because Sonetel is swedish, but seems totally international. It is seldom swedish companies make such a succes worldwide.

Basic plan doesn't allow answer calls from apps Date: May 27 2025
Summary: The few calls I've been able to make are difficult to hear. In fact, some calls are cut off after a few seconds, and I have to call back, charging twice. The charge, in my case, is 0.01 CTS per minute, but it always shows double. I think if they solve the problem of being able to answer through the apps, it would be a good option.
Positive: The attention of support people via email, although they do not always answer what you ask. They say that no can't warranty the answer through the apps in international calls. This is the main idea of a voip number
Negative: You're selling a product that doesn't do what you claim. On several of your websites, you offer free call answering via apps, and that doesn't work. You want to transfer the call to your local number, charging extra per minute, which can be very, very expensive. I insist: don't offer anything you don't deliver.

Negative: The phone calls cannot be received using the Sonetel app through the Internet. This feature must be implemented before the system becomes valuable.

I took a test for a month, and it cost me A20. Sonetel only partially refunded me when I canceled.
