Summary: Great free instant message system for small to medium size companies and the free plan is not very limiting

Summary: I have tried the free trial of slack recently, the application is pretty decent and the interface is very attractive. It has the calling options Supports both voice and video calling. File sharing in slack is good. On an overall level, the application is cool. Slack is a definite recommendation for companies of large size.

Positive: (+) The interface is very good and fast in terms of message delivery.
(+) Codes, files can be easily shared across teams
(+) Notification post receiving messages is good.

Negative: (-) A bit expensive compared to its competitors
(-) In cases of pasting large code pieces, the application hangs.

Positive: Slack's simple interface and concept is easy to navigate and customize. A huge part of our team culture and communication is based in Slack. Thanks to Slack, we've been able to keep business running smoothly through COVID-19 and keep updates transparent and available for everyone.

Negative: Sometimes calls drop or lag. This is infrequent though and otherwise, we've had no major issues with Slack!

Summary: Overall a decent project and team management tool. If you are looking for a tool where you can keep everyone in check about the assigned task and also want to notify everyone about important messages then go for it.

Positive: The application looks professional and best for large and medium size business. It provides good number of features to manage remote team. The documents and other media files can be easily shared with team members.

Negative: The conversation is not easy to make compared to application such as WhatsApp. Optimisation of the application is the need of the hour.

Negative: This is minimal, but I do not like how your channel names must be one word.

Negative: It's easy to get engulfed in Slack and lose productivity since it's so interactive and has so many functions to keep you interested. That said, there's great features to limit your usage and be able to adjust the notification settings to give you back more control.

Summary: Overall Slack is really one of the best tools for business today and my company has been using it for over a year now and we are impressed how it improved out workflow and handled communication with ease. Highly recommend it for any business looking for a tool to improve their communication needs.

Positive: Slack can be used on various platforms that can be deployed on Windows, Mac, Android and iPhone which provides your entire team a great way to communicate on various devices. It provides really great tools ranging from file sharing, video conferences and chatting in real time. We have used this tool in our business for over a year now and everyone is very happy with the results that are provided. It helps us work better and best of all it keeps all of us organized.

Negative: Not everything in the world is perfect, there are times if you have a lot of messages can be a bit hard to search for a certain message or if you have lot's of rooms to get everything categorized. Notifications can sometimes arrive pretty late depending on the device you are using.

Summary: Slack's a really neat software with a user friendly interface and a very easy integration. It's a definite win in my book.

Positive: I love the ease with which Slack integrates with all other office systems. The UI is super user friendly and very easy to learn and use.

Negative: I have to say I didn't like how long you can wait on customer service sometimes. Not all the time. Just on some occasions you can wait quite awhile.

Summary: Our company has a large team that is spread across the world and using Slack can be so useful when staying in touch with them. It is really great to have one single tool that I can use to send messages, share files, have video calls, and share my screen. Once you get used to it and are familiar with its full potential the sky is the limit for you. I strongly recommend it to people to try it and master it. It can be a really fun and satisfactory experience.

Positive: The pros that I can think of are as follows
1. Slack Bots: We keep track of operations inside our company (server health, script updates, entertainment(we have a joke bot in our company)) using bots.
2. Dark mode: The dark mode is a real godsend when you are working for long hours because staring at a white screen for long periods can be stressful.
3. Emojis: The wide array of emojis and the option to create custom emojis which are specific to your company make conveying your thoughts easier and in making your conversations a little light-hearted.
4. Channels and threads: The ability to create channels and threads is really valuable when you want to communicate with a larger group.
5. Multi-platform: Slack works on browser, has a marvelous web app, and a pretty great mobile app so it is easy to stay in touch with your colleagues irrespective of the platform you are on.
6. File sharing: Sharing files is very easy and is just a simple drag and drop and you can send almost any type of file to your colleagues.
7. Code indenting: Sharing a snippet of code with fellow devs can be really easy and intuitive thanks to the code indenting feature.

Negative: There are very few cons that I can think of but here are a couple.
1. Lack of a read feature: You can’t know if your recipient has read your message or not. It would be nice to have a blue tick sort of feature like you have in WhatsApp and iMessage
2. Reliability: It is not a big red flag but I’ve had the app freeze and shut down a few times. Again this happens very rarely and is not something to worry about.

Summary: It definitely gives you a professional feeling and handles all team members and groups properly. It's a must-have tool If you are managing remote teams and want everything in one place.

Positive: I have been using Slack for the last 6 months and I am fully satisfied using it. The application is easy to use and can be integrated with other tools such as Zapier, Mailchimp, Google Drive. The mobile application is easy to navigate with great features.

Negative: The application is a bit slow and is not suitable for a quick conversation with my teammates. I found myself using WhatsApp to get the conversation going. The application can be updated to match some features of WhatsApp although the later is not a project management tool it is great for having a quick conversation.

Summary: This software is an excellent alternative to the Discord platform that can be used by businesses and schools.

Positive: The software is very easy to use. The people on my team who are not too good with technology have managed to use this software very well and with no issues.
The GUI is great. The features it provides are great.
The free tier's features are good enough, that paying for the higher tier is not required.
The message encryption is good for any saucy secrets I want to share with others.

Negative: It can sometimes take a while to boot up the program. However, this is very rare and has only happened to me a couple of times.
No theme customization, which is a little disappointing.

Summary: As a whole Slack is a great app, it is on of those app that you get what you pay for and in this instance it is a great product. The people that will most benefit from using slack is those people that work on a small group or a small start up. The free version is usually enough for the average user.

Positive: There is a lot to like about Slack, The slick but simple user interface that the app is presented with makes it easy for any user to navigate through allows to connect to your peers easier than ever before. The app is also highly customizable according towards your individual preference.

Negative: The price. There is an expensive tag that comes along with it. It is not the cheapest on the market but also not the most expensive. If you opt for the free version of the app they limit the tools available such as integration and search limits.
