Microsoft Teams Reviews

Summary: I am using MS Teams for a couple of years already when working for several clients (big corporations mainly). Over time it surprisingly gets better and better, last things I noticed is an automatic attendance schedule that is available after a call and a built-in call recording tool.

Positive: Lot's of functions beyond just chat and calls:
File sharing, groups, notes via OneNote. Very useful for corporate users/

Negative: Main problem that I have with Teams is some instability when working via Citrix Desktop. Sometimes calls are not available because Citrix doesn't see my headset. So this is not entirely MS Teams problem, but is still an issue since many corporations provide remote desktop functionality via Citrix software which doesn't work perfectly with MS Teams.

Summary: Overall, Microsoft Teams can be a go-to application for teams working on the same project. It allows document sharing along with video meeting, which really helps when you want to share a file or a document with other team members during the meeting.

Positive: - The unique feature that sets apart Microsoft Teams from other video meeting softwares is that it allows documents sharing within the software.
- It syncs automatically with other Microsoft softwares for a better workflow.
- The user interface is intuitive and easy to use and can be of multipurpose use.

Negative: - The mobile version feels cluttered and doesn't have the same amount of features as the desktop version.

Summary: Overall, Microsoft Teams is a great platform for teams to collaborate and share files with each other. The meetings are lag free and smooth.

Positive: - The best and unique feature of Microsoft Teams is the file sharing during meetings.
- Meetings can be scheduled seamlessly.
- The user interface of the application is friendly and smooth.
- It has cross-platform support.
- The sessions can be recorded and saved effortlessly.

Negative: - The remote control feature does not work properly.

Summary: Overall, Microsoft Teams is more than just a video meeting software, with features like documents uploading and file sharing it really creates a collaborative environment for teams.

Positive: - Microsoft Teams comes with a lot of features especially focused for teams working together.
- There is a dedicated chatting and file sharing feature along with the video calling.
- It can be easily integrated with other Microsoft application to increase the functionality and productivity.

Negative: - The only con is that it is quite heavy on the system memory of the system. Ironically, it is more optimized in the macOS than in Windows.

Summary: Great platform that a lot of professionals are using, especially post pandemic. Tons of tools, but I know I don’t use all of them.

Positive: Great platform to collaborate, share information and quickly communicate with my team. Also great for virtual client meetings because of the brand recognition and reliability.

Negative: Not a knock on the platform but call and video quality on mobile devices is hit and miss.

Summary: Overall, Microsoft Teams offers huge amount of features without having to compromise on user experience. It is secure and perfect application to communicate within teams.

Positive: - It allows communicating globally with team members.
- The meetings can be scheduled and invites can be shared via links or email.
- The meetings are super secure and safe so that users can share files and messages without having to worry about the security.

Negative: - Honestly, Microsoft Teams checks every point from functionality and user experience to security. I have used it for more than two years now and haven't had any issues with it.

Summary: Overall, Microsoft Teams is a great tool to communicate across the organizations and teams. It is feature-rich and easy to use.

Positive: - It can be easily integrated with other Microsoft applications like word and excel for better workflow.
- The sharing of files and links during meetings is easy in chatroom.
- The session recording features work smoothly without any lags.

Negative: - The mobile version of the software is difficult to use because of its UI being not user-friendly.

Summary: Microsoft Teams has empowered our remote teams to collaborate on projects effectively, increase in productivity and improve their remote working experience. As an organization, we have expanded our connections, and we are glad that Teams can scale with our growing teams.

Positive: With COVID-19 pandemic, our employees have resulted into working remotely, and Microsoft Teams comes in handy in supporting collaboration and communication among the different remote teams located in different places. The high definition in calls clarity and the ability to connect with each other from anywhere at anytime using any device like smartphone and desktops is amazing. Its capabilities of chatting, collaborating, meetings and calling in one single platform has met all our meeting and collaboration needs. We have increased productivity and reduced costs greatly. Not only that but its effortless integration with third party tools like Asana, Dropbox has enabled teams to have increased versatility when using the tool.

Negative: The chat feature requires improvement to be more organized and easy to locate a chat that i was in.

Summary: Overall, Microsoft Teams is an efficient and simple software to communicate, host meetings and share files across team members.

Positive: - Microsoft Teams allows the user to host and join video meetings from anywhere.
- There are some unique features like file sharing links that can be used to exchange and share files across team members.
- The sessions can also be recorded by the host for future references.

Negative: - Because of the vast number of features on Microsoft Teams, it can be a bit complex to use initially.

Summary: It's a great experience and one of my most used tools at work. We can keep in touch when we are out of the office without using our personal cell phones.

Positive: Syncs with all other Microsoft products, specially outlook. Easy file sharing and chatting at work. Easy to search what you're looking for! GIFS to add emotions to comments.

Negative: I can't think of any Con at all. You can customize the chat to your needs, add tabs, settings, etc. If you don't like it, you can probably adjust it.

Summary: As long as you use office 365 ecosystem you will find teams to be the best messaging tool available in the market for companies.

Positive: Integration with all the office 365 ecosystem.
A powerful messaging tool for companies.
A friendly app for iOS and Android.
Allows to run group calls and conferencing with complete set of features (recording, whiteboard, screen share and more).

Negative: I’d say not for personal use or small teams.
You have to be mindful that to get the most of it you must use office 360.

Summary: If you are planning a company-wide adoption planned I'd say Teams is the most recommended tool for messaging and communication.

Positive: As long as you have an office 365 subscription you will get the most of it since has a lot of integrations (e.g. outlook, one drive, sharepoint, one note and more)
What I love is whiteboards which allow calls to be more interactive
Mobile apps is very friendly and easy to use

Negative: If you don't have an office 365 subscription is going to be tricky to get the most of it since you will have the basics so basically the downside is you have to subscribe. Not recommended for personal use being honest.

Summary: Teams has become the go-to application for communicating with my colleagues, whether chatting, voice or an actual meeting.

Positive: Knowing if someone is available, so that you can send them a quick message, see that they viewed it, and expect action.

Negative: The Chat window can get full, and though I can delete my posts, I can't delete those of others.

Summary: It is a great product, easy to use, and customizable. Overall a great product to organize meetings.

Positive: I love how I can link it right to my Google calendar. Makes scheduling meetings easy and everyone is on the same page.

Negative: Not everyone uses Microsoft Teams, so if they haven't it just takes a few minutes to set up, but then they are good to go.

Summary: I'd recommend any company to try this as part of office 365 offering since it helps to boost communication and engagement within the teams.

Positive: I've been using on my company for many years and I've seen frequent UI and performance improvements from Microsoft over the years. The UI is simple, screen sharing perfect, recordings can be done and it connects with office 365 suite and tools.

Negative: Would be good to have "break out rooms" or similar to make conferences somehow dynamic like zoom does. Also, inviting people outside your org could be tricky since a noob user would need to download the app (you can manage to join from browser but first option is to download).
