I do not believe that. you see it on tv show credits, "promotional consideration provided by apple"
Please provide one specific example. Thanks!

Well, the "saving Americans $2.6 billion" part is unlikely to work, in any case - it'll just go towards increased profits for the insurance companies.
Figure out a way to turn this into an anti-Apple rant, pronto!
My personal feeling is that series shows should not go beyond four seasons. After 100 episodes they tend to take a dive and everyone wants to do something else.
So British series should go for 12-16 seasons?
With these click-bait posts from Hugh Whazzizname's blog multiple times a day here on Slashdot?
Or at least give us an effective way to block stories by submitter?
Cut the researchers some slack - it's a simple misunderstanding. One of these guys went to the dentist and was told they had plaque on their teeth.
Hope you all have backup power supplies in place for when the power goes for more time than your mobile battery lasts.
That used to be my argument for keeping a landline. But you know what? Even with old style phone service, people tend to not keep a corded phone around - they prefer wireless handsets. When the power fails, so do those phones. Even with a landline, the last few times we had a power failure I had to use my cell phone to call it in.
We finally dumped our landline last year. Well, actually, we still have the number - my wife won't let us get rid of it. But now we're only paying ten bucks a month to T-Mobile for it instead of the forty-plus we were giving Century Link every month for way too long.
In 2006 Google wasn't exactly "a smaller startup".
They were part of this agreement because they got something out of it - same as Apple.
I hated pretty much all of seasons one and two.
Fortunately the series improved significantly after that, and I'd argue it finished very strong overall - which is very unusual for TV shows in general.
Economic hitman.
I don't see any real lesson here because there was nothing punitive in the settlement. So, from the developer's perspective, what was so bad about disabling validation?
To my eye, the "lesson" is "feel free to do whatever you want, because even if you get caught all that'll happen is they'll make you start doing it the right way afterward".
Right now, here in western Washington state, it's day 27 of month 2 in the year 114.
Hey it's exactly 6 months until Wall-mas!
C'mon, don't be so cynical - think of the benefits! Now when your "friend" posts a pic of their tasty sandwich, you can almost imagine you're holding it yourself!
I predict Facebook's next purchase will be buying the rights to John Water's Smell-O-Vision.
Many countries, namely Colombia and Ecuador have significantly less intolerance than Central and North America. The dollar is strong, food is fresh and cheap and the current political situation there is stable and welcoming. Why Belize over Colombia or Ecuador?
As my kids point out. Disks are higher quality than streaming. Also easier to jump around, better sound, have bonus features, and subtitles.
You forgot to mention the unskippable previews!
When I buy a DVD or a Blu-Ray disc, the first thing I do is rip it. Handbrake will mark the chapters automatically, so skipping around in the file is just as easy as on the DVD. I often rip the bonus features, watch them once, and then delete them since it's generally something I want to watch at most one time.
The disc itself goes into storage, and usually is never needed again.
