With me being as open as I am about my drug use I am sure that there is a file on me. I am wondering when they'll come knock on the door. Probably never but when they decide my comments about my political leanings are attracting enough attention (or something like that) I imagine it will make a good excuse for them. I am an old man and I have no worries. As I am a good candidate to end up in a minimal security facility and am financially secure I'm even less concerned and figure it will make a good retirement plan.
As for them knocking instead of blowing my door down? I live in an area where we still have Mayberry-like police, for the most part, and the cops already know me (and already know about my drug use - I'm a USER not a PROVIDER, I buy in bulk though and that will surely interest them in a court room, it's probably difficult to convince a jury that 4oz of H is for personal use) so I'm not too worried about them blasting through the doors with guns drawn. Someone is likely to call ahead and let me know anyhow. I'll meet them on the porch and let them know that my lawyer is already on the way and I'll be remaining silent until then should something like that happen.
However, as I said, I have both money and it's personal use only. It is unlikely that they'll be after me. But, that doesn't make it any better. As far as I'm concerned, even though the courts have declared it acceptable, it is not okay to be spying on me. I'm a citizen on United States territory. Without a warrant then they have no right to spy on me, collect data on me, or keep track of my comings, goings, phone call meta data, postal mail, email meta data, or the likes. I don't have anything to hide or fear, I'm pretty open about these things, and I certainly have nothing to fear but that does not give them the right. I'm not worried for me. I'm worried for you, for my children, and for those who will undoubtedly be subject to injustice because of this.
