What I like most about ST is that there's room for everything. From "Measure of a man", via "troubles with tribbles" up to O'Brian in the trenches agains some Jem'Hadar, "Year of hell", classic "Locked room" murder stories....
Watching a new episode was like picking something from Forrest Gumps chocolate box.
I doubt there is anything, that has nothing to do with Star Trek.
And I enjoyed Elite Force. Still a Star-Trekky-Story, but in a kind of story (FPS) that simply works better in a game than on screen.
And I couldn't even stand watching Enterprise!
2 days is good, but what about the object coming from behind the sun?
More work should be able to see what's coming from the 'blind spot'.
Over the last 10 years, there has been a roaring trade between the west and China. Ordinarily, this would be a great thing, but so far trade has been completely one sided. The fact is, the west has very little that the Chinese actually want to buy, or cannot manufacture themselves. Individual companies have been making short term gains by relocating their businesses to China; but in the long term, Chinese competitors (generally state subsidised) quickly emerge and dominate the local market and then the export market. For short term gain, western companies essentially write their own death warrants.
But don't you know, a huge trade imbalance is a good thing! Yeah, and monopolies offer choice, and real income decline and a widening income gap is a sign of a healthy economy and democracy.

h264 and divx are no more "encumbered" than jpeg, mp3 or MPEG2.
They might require a patent license fee but they hardly require the same
sort of draconian user agreement that access to DVD-CSS or AACS or
Cable Card does.
I honestly don't know why this isn't the default setting. I actually downloaded the Nook user manual just to see if it was possible to use the cover art (which they already have downloaded, for the CoverFlow-like browsing) as the screen saver, but, no.
I mean, how can I use my Nook to pick up chicks if I can't subtly cue them in to the fact that I'm reading Twilight?
Same here, the new Lenovo S10-3T is extremely tempting. I'm wondering what the final price/specs will be. If they stay what they are on the Lenovo site I may still pick up the high-end model.
