Fucking moron. It has nothing to do with what "generation" a person is part of. It does not define them. It is going to be funny when your grandchildren are blaming you and you can only say, "I tried my best", but everything is even more fucked up than previously. Where were you when fossil fuels were fucking up the weather causing all of the hurricanes that your grandchildren will be subjected to? It won't matter that you did your best because the bad things still happened and YOU are still being blamed for it.

See how stupid that is? I wanted to blame my parents (boomers) VERY badly... but when I grew enough to see what was going on, they were no different than others in having an effect on this planet. In other words, they were no different than you despite your ignorance and stupidity.

TL;DR, I am very excited to see you grow old enough to be blamed for something based purely upon when you were born. Maybe then you will understand how utterly fucking stupid you are being right now.

You apparently do not understand the source of the outrage. Some people like giving things away for free. A group of those people appear to feel taken advantage of when what they gave away for free is now packaged into a profit making venture that they see no revenue out of.

Surely you can understand that?

While I am sure my search skills are good enough to find what you are discussing, I would rather have access to the data that you are using to come up with this idea. Can you provide links to such studies that say what you claim? Honestly, unless you are eating the other person, I am uncertain how spike proteins would be delivered to another person in such a way that they remain viable. My logic is that we would all be immune to COVID by now if that were true and we are not all immune to COVID right now.

A brioche bun, for example, can run about 200 calories. A quarter pound of hamburger is around 240 calories.

If you carbonize a food item, you can measure how many calories total there are within the item you were measuring; however, your digestive system is not as efficient as fire. You won't get all 240 calories from a 240 calorie food item, at most, you will get some small percentage. Different food items will deliver calories more efficiently than others, depending on your personal internal metabolism.

An example with numbers pulled purely from my nether regions (lol?), a brioche bun presents 240 calories and your stomach extracts only 80 calories from it, the rest is ejected as waste. A quarter pound of hamburger presents 240 calories and your body can absorb 120 calories from it with the rest being ejected as waste.

While both items have the same overall caloric value, eating hamburgers will clearly get you fatter (again, the numbers are all hypothetical and may not be accurate, especially the claim about absorbing more calories from hamburger than buns.).

I vaguely recall such an article; although I am not certain it ever appeared on Slashdot. I have no idea what his point is with that though. The OP does not appear coherent enough to try and understand. (a problem that I have myself).

Oh lord you're one of those loons who thinks some secret world government is going to force everyone to eat insects.

Hm. That is kind of a summary of what could end up happening; however, it will not be that simple or black and white. Economic factors will force the regular folks to eat bugs for protein while the "elite" will eat cows and such. But it is not so simple as a secret worldwide government will impose this. It will be far more nuanced... but many of use will be eating bugs for our primary source of protein in the future.

You have some bizarre logic there bro. Responsible use of either results in good things all around. Irresponsible use of either results in death or dismemberment. It is not YOU that gets to choose how likely something is and then assign responsibility proportional to such judgements. My judgement is different than yours, so for you to assert such a judgement is for you to assume that your opinion is more important than mine. Do not be surprised if that leads to a fight.
