For years I was under the impression Apple made its profit selling devices and not my information. Turns out I was wrong. I am surprised to learn that if Apple gives google more info about me that advertisers will pay more for, they profit. I guess all their BS ads on privacy was money well spent on billboards etc.. Changing my search engine (s) to DuckDuckGo.
From what I read...Apple isn't giving Google any info...this money seems to be paid just for Apple making Google the default search engine on apps like Safari....?
Where do you see they said they were selling Google info?
I don't know about where you live; but around here it's become annoyingly common to encounter people in public with their phones held in front of their face so they can look at them while shouting their side of the conversation.
Oh geez....
While I've seen that on occasion, thankfully it isn't prevalent where I am/live/travel to date....
Why weren't they spending that money on Chinese research instead? With the sanctions in place, it's not like they would benefit from research made in the US.
To use this as a front to get spies into our universities and steal our tech secrets.
It's what they do and have done for ages....
They advance by stealing...plain and simple.
Or you could try not posting your racist anti china posts.
Protecting yourself from an antagonistic government like the CCP is not in the least bit racist.
It's called self preservation and national security.
I'll be happy to listen to your side when China opens up to the US govt and businesses in like manner as they try to get over here.
That, plus the likelihood that said Indian workers are pretty unlikely to show up to occupy the corporate offices with purple hair and some bullshit entitled complaint.
True....
But, what good is that if you can't understand a fucking thing they're saying...?
If there's a third one then it's starting to smell.
Later, Rinse, Repeat....
UGH...gotta start proofreading better.
LATHER, Rinse, Repeat...
Stomp on as many as you can see scurrying around....turn light off...
Later, Rinse, Repeat....
Or had Polonium tea.
It's a plausible deniability death.
So now there are two down, one from alleged suicide, one from MRSA.
If there's a third then it's becoming suspicious.
I don't expect that it's the three letter agencies directly - but that doesn't rule out individuals within them that getting money under the table.
After all - a lot of this is about big money.
They'd disclosed it but the first one hadn't finished testifying under oath about it. And that matters. The latter has status as evidence in court.
So population of the USA is about 340M, this claim is just under 1 in 4 people in the USA listen to AM radio. To be honest I haven't listened to the radio in my car in over a decade - am or fm. I do not know anyone that does and I am in the age demographic that would likely listen to a radio rather than stream. Does anyone under 30 or 35 use a radio in their car, I know my child never has in almost a decade of driving.
Well, wait till you live in an area where a widespread emergency happens, like a hurricane, earthquake or wildfires....and you'll see where AM comes in handy.
Pretty much all of the emergency communications infrastructure is built around AM due to its ability to send signals far and away over areas blacked out from other forms of communication.
Cell phones are the first things to go my friend.
Because they're old and old people like AM radio. Plus old people have nothing better to do than call state reps and write snail mail complaints.
Yeah...let's not take into consideration emergency situations and communications...where things like call phones, etc. are knocked out, but AM radio is still on the air.
Nah...disregard the emergency infrastructure built around AM, and those pesky signs along the highway saying things like "for emergency information tune to AM xxx.yy"
Nah....dont' need anything like that, because, HEY...no wide spread emergencies like hurricanes, tornadoes earthquakes or fires happen here...no sir.
And the summary says something about an animation playing too...how the hell am I supposed to see animations on the screen when I'm talking on the phone with it up to my ear...?
Seems stupid all the way around....
You have a message from the operator.
