It has more than 15,000 plugins and more than 205,000,000 downloads. Using the WordPress API the author downloaded information on every plugin and analysed it. She found that the majority of plugins weren't compatible with the latest version of WordPress, throwing up PHP Notices and warnings, with many plugins last being updated in 2005 and even 2004. More worryingly she was able to use a plugin from the repo to hack a website, uploading a shell and turning the site into a drone. It turns out that the 15,000+ might not be quite so awesome as they're made out to be.

I thought selling stolen cables were only done in third world countries, such as the country where I live in. Here, they burn up the cables so that they could sell the copper to junk shops.
Unfortunately, my previous company was a victim of such thing. There was a storm that knocked a post near our building. Looters, thinking the fattest cable has the most copper, stole approximately a hundred meters of fiber optic cable. Here there is no market value for such items. They did not get any money for what they stole. Our internet was down for one week. Nobody was a winner.

that these terrorists have watched too much G.I Joe: The Rise of Cobra.
They have used a bomb that is considered cutting edge technology centuries, if not millenia, ago. So indeed they were using a man-made device which beats their purpose. Maybe after some time, nano-tech will be as common as your i which probably human kind will be researching on a field that we do not know at this time.
If someone is willing to fight for something, they might as well live the life on what is being fight for. If your anti-tech, then live without tech. Don't use plastic, cellular phone, tv, and specially gun powder or any explosive substances.
