Aww man, thanks so much for mentioning that FAQ. That brings back memories. I remember using it back when it was "Doctor Bob's Guide to Offline Internet Access". It helped me out loads when my college blocked port 80 because "people were abusing it"

Parent is spot on. You need to find organisations that are "military-friendly".
Generally speaking, the private sector don't like to employ ex-public sector workers (and vice-versa). You need to find a public sector engineering job or a private sector company that mainly does work for the public sector.
The fact you've been out there fighting a war that many people don't agree with isn't going to help matters much outside of the military, even if it is public sector. For example, I think you'll struggle to find work in the health sector; they're not going to take kidnly to the idea that you've spent years of your life maiming people even if you might be a perfect fit to engineer an advanced artificial limb!
I love th3e term "crop dusting". Whoever invented it deserves their spin-doctoring millions. When I think of "dusting". I think of my grandma using a mild feather duster to remove a bit of dust from her ornaments. I would never think of soaking a field with a few tons cancer-causing chemicals. Hooray for semantics!
Of course he's guilty. Why else would the police have arrested him?
They're brigands and blaggards; those dirty vamints. These dastardly perpetrators must be stopped forthwith! What do you think, old bean?
Other devices are protected thanks to the use of HTTPS, which enforces HTTPS
HTTPS enforces HTTPS? Whew. That's a relief. Does SFTP enforce SFTP and SSH enforce SSH too? Just checking to make sure I'm secured.
I assume they mean HTTPS STS
Most sensitive mobile data these days is carried over SSL surely? I can't see this being any more dangerous than connecting to a public network voluntarily.

And who said PCs are dying? Easy to solve that problem...
All we need to do is redefine what a PC is (desktops, notebooks, and tablets)!
Problem Solved!

I think the USSR did something similar. Made a really pretty lake, if I recall, but they could never keep it stocked with fish. But I can’t find a link so it might be my imagination.
