You don't say

  • The whole affair just got so much more boring.
  • I don't know why this is such a surprise, everyone except the bought and paid for Beltway MSM knows it will be either Elizabeth Warren and Bernie Sanders, or Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren, vs Trump/Rubio.

They don't get why Canada went Liberal, tossing the "going to win" fascist right wing CPC/Tory party.

They won't get why the US will vote for Change over Fear.

      • It's not going to be Warren/Sanders. If there was even the slightest chance of that happening, Biden would still be hedging. He's pulling out one day after two polls showed Clinton has actually gained over Sanders since the Democratic debate, demonstrating the pundits, not the loudest voices on the Internet, were right about who "won" that debate. Overwhelmingly right. Like, enough to make up for all the fumbles they had handling Trump's ascendancy right.

Sanders is not going to beat Clinton. Warren's not even going to run. It's over. The nearest we have to a question on the Democratic side right now is who will be VP.

OK, grandpa. Keep telling yourself that. You're like the Tories in Canada, you don't get that change is now.

        • Assuming you're not joking, want to make it interesting? Because you'll be getting President Hillary Clinton whether you like it or not.

That nugget would be worth something if the UK elections hadn't just happened as well.

Unlike the US, the UK government can be forced to call an election if they lose any money or budget vote in Parliament.

Which means they could vote at Christmas.

            Thanks for playing.

I would very much like to subscribe to that newsletter.

Once again: A Raspberry Pi 2 against a case of your favourite beer says you're wrong. Put your money where your mouth is.

          Biden?

No, Some governor (from Georgia?) will become suddenly famous...

    • I think you're putting the carriage in front of the horse, there. Make no mistake, I would love to see a president Sanders. I will caucus for him, and if he should win the nomination I will vote for him. However, I can't see how he could be an effective POTUS. Even if he wins the white house, we can't expect to flip the house of representatives in 2016 to be filled with progressives and "socialists". In the senate there are 34 seats up for election in 2016, of which 24 are currently held by republicans [wikipedia.org]

        • Before I go further let me say that I am far more supportive of Sanders' platform than Clinton's.

That said, I do think that Clinton would be able to get things done. Now, I don't know that I would agree with much - or any - of what she would be able to get done with the GOP, but she would be able to get things done. With Sanders it would come down to what the GOP can do in spite of him; with Clinton it would come down to what they can do with her.

Basically, I suspect that Hillary would just be ano

Always try to do things in chronological order; it's less confusing that way.
