It's not limited to LLM. Efficiency will come with better tensor cores (hardware). First step will be to use analog compute units for matrix multiplication. Next step to have whole TPU analog - this will drastically reduce power usage and improve performance. Current issue is noise and consistency. But lets give it few years... digital computers needed 70 years to where there are now.

But slaves aren't free. You need to provide them with shelter, sanitation and food. And you wouldn't really use a lot of army/soldiers to keep them there as that costs money. Basically, you'd let slaves leave if they don't want "free" food, shelter and sanitation - demoralized worker is useless anyway.

So in the end it's not much of a difference between slaves in ancient world and blue collar workers now.

There's not even a question. Plasma - you can configure it to look like Xfce. I was long time Xfce user, I had issues with tearing and VRR on multiple monitors. So best alternative was to switch to Wayland+Plasma.

I still use Thunar though.

For sharing, there are Plasma addons that allow creating shares from context menus.

I was the same until about ~10 years ago. The only difference? Once you go mechanical, you can never go back.

It's like driving old Fiat to work every day for past 20 years... and you're not missing anything - it takes you from point A to point B. Then you replace it with Mercedes and it still takes you from point A to point B. But you'll never want to drive a Fiat anymore.
